Signs of a Dinosaur

Post by parrot » January 24, 2022, 4:12 pm

Went to Bangkok Bank to renew my ATM card. Two customers downstairs and about 7 up, along with what looked like 6 staff. Unfortunately, only 2 of the staff were waiting on customers. Three other staff were at what used to be the foreign exchange table counting coins. As in, thousands of coins. Putting them in piles of probably a hundred Baht then into plastic bags. Three people......for the better part of an hour. Counting, by hand. 21st Century.

Lucky for me, my ATM card is good for a few years.......and there's not much other reason to go inside the BKK Bank anymore these days.

I was tempted to get a close up shot.......but this'll do.

Any news about the "My Pillow Guy" opening an account at BB, after they gave him assurances the counting machines weren't rigged?
