A friend has a small fish pond about 3 meters square it has tiled sides but the base is just raw concrete which is obviously porous are there other solutions apart from tiling to make it leak proof so it will hold water and fish?
I think for 20 odd years it years it has just been a look at garden ornament of no use.
Thanks in advance.

2 part epoxy paint is what you need as non toxic after curing time (1 week)
Re: Paint For Fish Pond?
Just because it is bare concrete doesn't automatically mean it will leak. I have a 3 metre by 1.5 metre concrete fish tank (just rendered standard thai concrete blocks), and apart from some erosion of the tank bottom (repaired with more cement) it has been going for 6 years. During dry season maybe needs topping up every 3 weeks or so, but that is evaporation. You can get additives you can add to the cement render which will reduce porosity. I have 3 tanks in total, only one has a leakage problem, made from an old concrete ring. Thay needs topping up maybe once a week in dry season.
