What's that smell? Skunks in Udon?

Post by rickfarang » March 17, 2021, 7:10 pm

I woke up yesterday (Tuesday) to the scent of a skunk in the living room. I had not smelled skunk for decades but once you smell it you can't forget it. The smell was only in one room. The air was fresh and clean in all other rooms and outside the house. By this morning there was only a hint of it in the air. Just curious -did somebody import a skunk or even see one around here (Udon Thani) recently?

I had same problem. Thought Toilet blocked. But no!
The septic tank was at the rear of the house.
But seems they built a kitchen over the top of it.
Searched everywhere for the opening.
Eventually found it... in the worktop cabinet!!
Broke open the cap, and not ever 3rd full.
But there was no stink pipe!
Manufactured some PVC and directed it out the wall
Seems an air/gas lock forced the smell out up to the pan!
logic.. What goes in must come out
Cured the problem anyway!

Thank you for the insight. Not that I relish the idea of sniffing around the septic tank when I detect that smell, at lease I have some information go on.
