The England reserves havn't done too badly .......... 498 - 4 (50 overs) New World Record

Wonder what they would have got if YJB/Stoksie/Little Joe had played?

3rd Test

New Zealand chose to bat 123 - 5 at tea day 1

Leach to Nicholls, OUT

drives down the ground... and he's caught off Mitchell's bat at mid-off! Oh my days, what a way to get out! That's going straight in the What Happened Next? round of Question of Sport. Leach has no idea what just went off, but he's getting mobbed by his team-mates, as they celebrate a bizarre dismissal with the final ball before tea. Been a bit of a struggle out there for Nicholls, but you couldn't have predicted what would happen from his 99th ball faced. Solidly struck coming down, but Mitchell, trying to take evasive action, only succeeded in middling a catch to the alert Lees. Umpire Kettleborough was diving for cover, Leach was looking towards long-on, and Nicholls can only wince in dismay before walking off
Henry Nicholls c Lees b Leach 19 (137m 99b 1x4 0x6) SR: 19.19

New Zealand finally all out for 329 \:D/

England 55 - 6 in reply :-"

"This isn't sexy cricket, it's mindless," huffs Jeremy. "Stokes' shot was allowed when we are 300-4, not 50 -5. We want to see some grit and determination in our test team as well as elegant strokeplay, not this kindergarten stuff."

Thank heavens, I was beginning to think it was me against everyone else in cricket 8-[

The run rate is good at 4.55, that’s a positive.

Watched the highlights of Bairstow. Rare form. In the captains defense he didn't have Bairstow's luck. Great entertainment.

You wouldn't think it was the same team that played in Oz in December and January. What a turnaround! =D>
