glub, glub.....somebody threw an anchor.

Really don't have a clue but somehow picked Drogba as Captain and he scored the lone goal. Should have named Bent as C, scored one off of a balloon laying out in front of the goal and could have had 4 more so far with luck. Sunderland 1-0 Liverpool at 62.00

I think they really need to look at this "CAPTAIN" thing before next season. It really is making a bit of a mockery of the game. Take last week, there could have been someone who had a "respectable" week with all eleven players scoreing 4 pts each for a total of 44pts, and he gets beat by someone with absolutely no idea/interest who happened to make Fabregas captain at the start of the season and hasn't visited the site since. He could have had 10 players either injured/suspended and still have won !!
It has to be a much better game if you SCRAP the double points for Captain.
There are far too many things that can either make/break your score that are out of your control......... like Defoe getting sent off (-6pts), or a manager subbing a player after 59 mins due to someone else getting sent off etc; etc. It's bad enough when it happens to a player in your team, but when it is the guy that you have made captain it's the same as having two players sent off/subbed.

RANT OVER

I know it was gameweek 9 Tom, but that doesn't mean you have to make 9 transfers. 32 point hit. Ouch!!!!
On the up side, Nice team. :D

I keep making the mistake of thinking im getting a great score and getting all excited about a bit of vertical movement, (with the FF as well ;) ) and then I take a gander at all your scores and i'm like wtf! and rooted to me crummy 13th position still, seems like this is a tough league. Just hoping I can make up some points tonight but looking through I see many above me have the same players, I think you must be all spying on me or something. I tried to muscle Fabregas into my squad but had to settle for Van P instead as captain, I can see some giant scores for some of you occuring by the end of tonight.

Stonking result for Chelsea btw :D .

Cmon The Thaitanics and good luck everyone,

A guy who actually knows something about the game seems to be getting a little frustrated? What chance do I have then? :( Feeling like I'm in a free-fall mode in this league lately. Thanks to whoever invited 747man. Don't have to worry about hitting bottom anyway since it looks like he has a stranglehold on last place. =D>

Took Statto's veiled advice this week and signed up Fabregas as captain of my FC. Now if he can only come up with 22 points tonight for a 3rd time this year he will make all of my squaddies happy campers. [-o<

Well done Gozzo for this weeks top score of 64....helping to take away the pain of Evertons performances against Benfica and Bolton.
Still very close at the top with Stephen,Sean,Robtaff and Gary.
In the H2H Apollo suffered their first defeat \:D/ but a good win for Udon Lady, obviously the footballing brain in the family ! 8)

Thanks Zidane. I was fortunate to swap the captaincy from Drogba to Lampard at the right time. Both you and Som did well on 61 points. Clawing my way up the ladder but that can change with a bad week.

BUT!! ..... did you have to mention Everton's results this week.

I would rather see Everton win even if it cost my FF team a bad week. 8)

In hind site, having 2 players worth around 20M sitting on the bench the past 2 weeks has not been the best managerial decision I've made. Heads will roll. :(

A bit of a prolonged week, only just finished.
beer monkey top scored with 76 and stephen has extended his lead at the top to 25 points.
In the H2H Galee lost for the second week in succession to see his lead at the top cut to just 1 point.

But spare a thought for this poor chap.....He had both Carragher and Geovanni sent off and also had Titus Bramble at the heart of his defence.....you know who you are !!

All Green Arrows This Week for me in all my leagues.....now thats a pretty sight...even if i say so myself.. ;) Maybe my new manager Nobbi's Style gave the men a boost...
H2H also 2 wins and neck and neck at the top 6 positions....
Me and Monsieur Zid levels at 577 points each....
Another Double game week coming week after next....but the last double one was pants, so don't rely on extra bumper points...
Still work to be done to make up the 50 point differance....but slowly slowly catchy monkey....and a good cap choice..
The Heat Is On in our leagues......

I would say "Things can only get better" but it didn't do the Labour Party much good either.
Looking forward to the Championship Fantasy League next year.

I'd like to apologise to all Drogba owners. Blame me. It was me who put the mockers on him. I get him in my team and he scores his lowest score all season. :(
To add insult to injury, I get rid of Huddlestone and Fletcher. Guess who scored this week? Yep, both of them.

Yeah i noticed that Galee.....mai pen rai, and no i don't don't blame you about Drog.....it was always going to be a low scoring game and i didn't see Drog or Roon getting a goal....lets face it it can't happen every week, they need a break, fortunately i would never captain Drog....i see Souey stuck with him... :( strikers where rubbish this week...bent missing a penalty too..Huddlestone has done naff all to shout home about all season, so i would have dumped him too.....but it has closed the gap a bit in the top few..... ;)
