RUGBY SUPPORTERS WORLD CUP ( 15/16 OCT )

Post by BIGAL » October 10, 2011, 10:57 pm

Mils Miluana & Colin Slade have joined the injury list for the All Blacks & been ruled out of playing any further games, Aaron Cruden, Hosea Gear & Stephen Donald have been called up as replacements for the semi final clash with Australia this Sunday in Auckland.

Wallaby coach, Deans, played down the Aussies unconvincing desplay against the Springboks & called it his team's "coming of age" which meant they are more ready now for the All Blacks! #-o

RUGBY SUPPORTERS WORLD CUP ( 15/16 OCT )

Post by BIGAL » October 10, 2011, 11:12 pm

The skills coach of Wales, Neil Jenkins said this Saturdays semi final clash was certainly the biggest game ever for Wales as they stand a real good chance of making the RWC final. Wales have played France 89 times since 1908:-Wales won 43, France 42 & 3 games ended in a draw! :|

The first thing the French coach did after defeating England was to take his team down to the local pub to watch a video of the Wales / Irish game! Jamie Roberts was singled out by the French & they called him "the best centre at RWC"! =D>

RUGBY SUPPORTERS WORLD CUP ( 15/16 OCT )

Post by Sport » October 11, 2011, 12:22 am

Somehow Al I think the Wallabies needed that hard game against the Springboks to 'toughen' themselves up for the clash with the All Blacks on Sunday. The AB's are playing on home soil, bloody Auckland of all places, the voodoo place for the Wallabies, so Robbie Deans has called upon that famous witch doctor from South Africa....Desmond Tutu, to go over to NZ and remove that hex, no disrespect to the good man at all.

IMO, the momentum and strength is building up for the Wallabies, they now realise they can win this cup...again. Like this should be the grand final, both sides are going to hurt each other till the final whistle blow's, so I will probably watch it. May both team's and supporter's have a great day.

I still have to go with France on Saturday, I really don't want too, but I think they will run away with the game. Wales also will not give them any break's at all and they will play their gut's out. If France does win, the AB's or Wallabies will grind them into the dirt, they won't know what hit them, a mountain size Kiwi or a really big Wallaby.

RUGBY SUPPORTERS WORLD CUP ( 15/16 OCT )

Post by BIGAL » October 11, 2011, 9:08 pm

Rolland will ref the Wales / France game & Joubert will ref the Aussie / All Black clash, Lawrence has been removed from officiating another RWC game!!! =D> Interestingly, there is a petition doing the rounds on facebook & now signed by 40,000 rugby supporters to have Lawrence officially banned from ever officiating an international match again!

France have named an unchanged side to meet Wales, it appears that the victory against England has helped rebuild their team spirit & we could see them let loose against Wales, "Sport" I still prefer the youth of Wales who are playing with passion & determination to take this one!

The All Blacks will start with Cruden at No. 10 now & he will be backed up by Donald while Australia seems to have also lost Beale to an injury! Deans believes Quade Cooper will return to his talented form this Saturday which was lacking against the Springboks! "Sport" another difference of opinion as I still back the All Blacks to beat the Wallabies by at least 10 even with Tutu's influence!!!

New Zealanders are trembling at the thought of not having Richie McCaw availible this Sunday as his foot injury is still a concern & Matt Tod has already started training as a replacement today although not officially in the squad. Meanwhile Pocock is raring to go for the Aussies although he will certainly not get away with infringements this Sunday with Craig Joubert being the ref! [-X

RUGBY SUPPORTERS WORLD CUP ( 15/16 OCT )

Post by BIGAL » October 13, 2011, 8:16 pm

The Bookies have officially confirmed that Wales are favourites to meet the All Blacks in the RWC Final!!! This of course would be the first time ever that Wales would reach a final! Theyt certainly have been the surprise package of the tournament. :-"

France in the meantime want to turn the tables, after losing to England 4 years ago in the semi final, they want to become World Champoins! France have been finalists twice before in 1987 & 1999.
Can not wait to sit down with a few cold beers & watch this 1 on Saturday at 3 pm!!! \:D/

Now 60,000 tickets gone, and BTW they were Free at a cost of over 25,000 GBP to the WRU for stewards etc.
Meades is among many who is backing Wales and to be fair they are the ' in form team'.
For me, I believe they can do it and get into the final but one game at a time, whatever the result they have exceeded everyones expectations of them and with being such a young side the majority will still be around in 2015 with 4 yrs more experience.

Saturday 15 October 3pm
Semi Final RWC 2011
Wales vs France

:guiness: :guiness:

Enough talk, now it's down to the action and much anticipated clash of the Northern Hemisphere. This is going to be one helluva rugby match. I make it Wales by 3 in extra time!

Sunday 16 October 3pm
Semi Final RWC 2011
New Zealand vs Australia 3pm

Yes! No mention of "chokers" anywhere in the press, also no mention of "sonny wool" the physic sheep? The big clash of the Southern Hemisphere! If the Aussies can lift their game we could see a close one otherwise I make it All Blacks by 10.
:drunk:

Cheers, enjoy the rugby!

RUGBY SUPPORTERS WORLD CUP ( 15/16 OCT )

Post by BIGAL » October 16, 2011, 12:58 am

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz..........France flop into the Rugby World Cup Final! The statistics rather resembled the Springbok Aussie game whereby Wales enjoyed the majority of possession and territory and still managed to lose the game 9-8. In the dying moments Wales were awarded a penalty which was a blatant foul by Wales so justice was served when this kick was missed! Missing 2 penalties, 2 dropped goals and 1 conversion cost Wales dearly! The spear tackle by law is a red card offence wether intentional or not and this fact killed the game! the French played boring rugby and can count themselves lucky to be in the final! =D>

Craig Joubert made a big impact on the game by penalizing David Pocock for infringements he got away with in the quarter finals! Well done to the All Blacks as they crushed Australia in the first half 14-6. Only 3 points were scored by the All Blacks in the 2 nd half and the final score 17-6! Actually with all the missed penalties, the scoreline should have been more like 30-6. Well done The All Blacks! \:D/

Wales will play Australia in the play off for 3rd and 4th position on Friday 21 October at 230pm.

New Zealand will play France in the Rugby World Cup Final on Sunday 23 October at 3.00pm.

RUGBY SUPPORTERS WORLD CUP ( 15/16 OCT )

Post by Sport » October 16, 2011, 11:46 pm

You win some you lose some, that sums it up for the day from the Aussie bar. We seen the All Blacks knock over the Wallabies in a well deserved win, well done Kiwis you are the 2011 WC winners. This was imo the grand final of the Rugby WC, next Sunday they will do to the French, what France done to the ship 'Rainbow Warrior',.... send them into oblivion.

We also seen the Australian Kangaroos knock over the current World Cup holders, New Zealand in a great display of Rugby league. And Casey Stoner taking out the 2011 Motogp championship at Phillip Island, he also won the race. In between the games and motogp, we saw Mark Webber finish 3rd in Korea in the F1.

So for the Aussies we had a pretty good Sunday. There may have been some more stuff they won around the world today which will come to light a bit later on.
