Suppose the Aussie Burger Pub will have a yellow and black line down the middle for the Final.

Better stock up on some sausage rolls etc...

What a crock of codswallop GT. Stop being a kiwi troll.
He was after him and got him.
The gentlemen's game indeed. If he was wearing a tweed blazer with leather elbow patches it may not have hurt.

Back to the footy, put your house on the aussies. :D
in my case an incomplete house. :-"

It was fifty, fifty whether here or on the joke thread but opted for here.

Richie McCaw, David Pocock and Schalk Burger are standing before God at the throne of Heaven. God looks at them and says, "Before granting you a place at my side, I must first ask you what you believe in."

Addressing Pocock first he asks, "What do you believe?" Pocock looks God in the eye and states passionately, "I believe Rugby to be the food of life. Nothing else brings such unbridled joy to so many people. I have devoted my life to bring such joy to everyone."

God offers Pocock the seat to his right.

He then turns to Schalk Burger, "And you, Schalk, what do you believe?" Schalk stands tall and proud. "I believe courage, honour and passion are the fundamentals to life and I've spent my whole playing career providing a living embodiment of these traits."

God, moved by the passion of the speech offers Schalk the seat to his left.

Finally, he turns to Richie McCaw. "And you, Richie, what do you believe?"

"I believe." says Richie ". that you're sitting in my seat." :-"

The tension between Aussies and Kiwis is building and come Saturday prior to the game the most nervous of supporters will naturally be the Kiwis. The self doubt will rise quickly and their usual confidence will wane. They'll still be cocky at kickoff but the actual thought of losing and putting up with the relentless Aussie trash talk for the next 4 years will get to some and the current smirk will disappear.
No amount if pretending that owning the Bledisloe means more to them will help them.

The aussies are actually going for the 3 world trophy wins on the trot.
We already have the world netball trophy, the world cricket trophy and the World Rugby is the final in the trilogy.

Kiwis just think and presume they will win
where as
Aussies just hope we will win. :-"

:D GT I quietly sit with 3 Kiwis at breakfast each morning at 5.30 and their cockiness is subsiding each morning now as realization sets in that they may not win. I'm just a very silent sentinel listening each day. :-"
Oh I occasionally remind them, in a non s..t stirring and friendly way that things can go wrong on any particular day.
I am deep down hoping to have a happy smiley breakfast come Sunday morning before catching the bus with them to work.

If a few thousand former private school boys from Sydney and Brisbane can beat the might of Polynesia they can walk very tall.

Personally I prefer the best result for the best and traditional Aussie football code and that would be a walkover for Saint Richie's boys.

If the All Blacks lose everyone of them will be in the history books forever as a choker and loser. I'd support them being stripped of their NZ citizenship and exiled to Sydney. They aren't eligible for welfare in Oz and should be made to shovel shxt if that's the best they can do.

Cripes I'm now sounding as belligerent as ronan.

No 93, you've always been belligerent all on your own  but you are right that if a bunch of private school boys can beat a country playing their national game in a World Cup Final, it is indeed a a wonderful accomplishment. Go the Wannabies \:D/

If you want to send them to Sydney, we'd have to check their criminal records first, now we are finally enforcing deportation of our ANZAC mates.
