Guptill 150. Your lads marjamlew look like they're ready for a session on the turps. Wayne has probably already started his celebrations for today's match in Wellington as like Warnie and most Aussie cricketers he isn't short of confidence ...

Yes GT. After finishing with the Guptil show its time for me to head over to the SUCC and share some of my own grand final winning celebration stories with the young fellas. The early finish to our game means that the next couple of days will be more of a marathon than a sprint in the celebration stakes and an old fella like meself will come into my own sometime tomorrow afternoon when the sprinters are all but said and done.
Kiwis v Africans - Aussies v Indians for the semis. Time for the cream to rise to the top at this WC. Bring it on. =D>

Wayne, may be the Victorian club side in marjamlew's photo might have got over 300 against the West Indies at Wellington?

Bye bye to Charles' off stump, the Windies one down, and I'm down amongst the bottom half of a litre can of a Russian beer, Baltika, that has only recently appeared at the local bottle shop. The shop is owned and operated by a Chinese guy and his wife and the beer is probably imported by an enterprising Russian immigrant. That's modern NZ. A special hello to ronan01 who disapproves of posting under the influence ...

Great player in his own backyard. Wonder how he'll go on a cricket ground?

Was able to finally watch some live action, thanks wayne for the link. Worked a treat.

There was some big hitting and the bowlers certainly didn't do themselves any favours with lack of accuracy with the attempted Yorkers. Geees how many of those 6's would have been 6 on the MCG.

Down to the final 4 and it would be great to see the Number 1 aussies up against our mates from across the Tasman in the final, but alas I feel the Kiwis will be knocked off next trip out and we will play SA. \:D/

I do hope AUS V NZ does eventuate. Now the winner of that contest would certainly lead to some bragging rights.

See Wayne? That's the problem if you mouth off too much ... You gotta remember that the Aussies are World Champs at mouthing off ... :D They'll pay you back in truck loads.

Not truckloads GT. Just enough to fill Guptill's backyard or a cricket ground (rugby pitch) in Wellington or Auckland. One third of a load of a 1 tonne ute should do it. :D

Don't get sucked in Lew, we are still a work in progress to take this cup home.
Remember the kiwi's are world champs at sneaking in the back door for many things to get something that they didn't deserve and GT knows that. Give them their 15 minutes and we can concentrate on india.

I believe Barney that the Kiwi Mrs. Abbott deservedly walked in the front door of the Lodge with Mr. Abbott after a clear win. In GT's opinion she deserves one of Australia's highest honours if Mr. Abbott regularly eats raw onions before retiring to bed at night.

Good luck to the Indian players on Thursday. :D My preference is for an Indian - NZ final at the MCG. My least favoured outcome is an Aussie - South African final. I'll be staying clear of utes if that happens.

10.26 am in Auckland and the sun is starting to shine ...

Big start for the kiwi's, SA 2 down early at 4 an over.
Could this be NZ's day??
The couple of near miss drops didn't affect them to much on the score board.

114/2 in the 26th.

If NZ lose, the local crowd might chant "You're as bad as England". I suspect the players that would dislike that chant the most aren't playing today and have a PM who enjoys eating raw onions, skin and all.

127-3 after 30 overs.....vital for the Kiwis to get de Villiers as he could knock up a century in about 6 overs !
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Wayne perhaps you should text some of your female friends at the game that it's time for some female streakers. Even a couple of old women OT's age also with Zimmer frames will do the trick. Disrupt the batsmen's concentration.

211/3.
