Yeah macca I am over losing being a doggy supporter for 45 years but even though we lost this battle I reckon this side might win the war. Like the final against Adelaide last year we failed to take the opportunities that we had created and Hawthorn were just more polished under pressure.
Seems as though Bobby Murphy may have done his knee in the last minute of the game. Would be a terrible way to finish a career for a wonderful footballer and true club-man.

Big rumour around the traps is that the blues will lose by a small enough margin to stay off the bottom unless the doggys bring their A game.
A first win would be great though. :D

Congratulations to the Swans on achieving that significant milestone for NSW sport.

I read NSW's Malcolm Turnbull has declared Australian Rules the most exciting football code in the country. He went so far as to say the superiority of Australian Rules was common knowledge. Hopefully the boys at the back picked that up.

John Pierik wrote in The Age this week:

"Coach John Worsfold has said any player who was to sue would be welcome back provided they still were fully committed to the club.

The Bombers understand they have a responsibility to all the 34 banned players, and compensation claims could be settled out of court within months. They have stressed they are a different club now to the one of recent years."

Go the Cats. Go the Doggies.

Are the Eagles that good or are the Tiges just that bad? Eagles are gonna be pretty well impossible to beat at home.
Dog's have a lot to prove without their captain and spiritual leader tonight. Hope the young fellas turn it all into a positive and give it to the good old navy blues :D

Was an ugly game Macca. Carlton won the second half but it was all over bar the shouting at half time with the dogs going in 7 goals up.
Doggies lose Jason Johannenson, with what looked to be a bad hamstring and Tommy Boyd with a shoulder. With our first picked half backline of JJ, Wood and Murphy all out injured we'll see how our depth goes over the next few weeks.

Sainters were very stiff today and the Hawks obviously kissed on the dick by a fairy with the umpires winning the game for them again.

And with the Crows getting up over Wazza's, Bondi Millionaires, the Scray go back to the top of the ladder at least for tonight.

The Pies are 30 points down in the third quarter to the Dees although I just heard a commentator say the game isn't over. If the Bombers get over the Pies, Buckley has gotta be down the road.

Essendon are now outright favourites for the ANZAC day game and it was just wonderful to watch the wobbles play such rubbish footy this afternoon. I hope they don't sack Buckley because and I don't want them to improve :D

After Freo they have the Bombers and the Pies. It's a great opportunity for the Blues to get some wins. I'm not sure if they will.

I must say if you're a misbehaving Aussie celebrity you're lucky to have Gary Pert nearby to talk you up after some disgraceful conduct and try to keep you out of trouble. I guess that's one of his main tasks at the Pies. Hackett must have yelled Go the Pies or something more colourful before apparently assaulting a fellow business class passenger.

You would have to think they have a chance of winning 50% of the next four if they don't they are history.

Don't know where our old mate DU has vanished to his Blues predictions are better than mine.

May be he's given up and become a Hawks supporter although long term woeful performances and poor recruiting usually aren't enough for a supporter to abandon a team they have been supporting long through the mists of time.

Carlton would probably need someone such as Paul Little or Mick Gatto running the place for a few seasons for it to be time to abandon the Navy Blues.

Anyhow the Carlton season looks about to pick up. I would think their supporters would take great pleasure in shuffling the deck chairs over at Collingwood.

Watched the last quarter of the blues game macca. Was up and down and a lot chances both ways. Pretty sure all blues supporters would be happy to have one on the board. Pretty dismal for Freo - looks as though Lyon should have stuck with his ultra defensive game.
Dogs had over 70 inside 50's last night and pretty well dominated the contests. Our conversion is terrible but our ability to keep the ball off the opposition is great. Big 1 v 2 with North on Friday night and the keepings off will have to be in top gear as we are midgets compared to North. Will be interesting to see how the game style goes.
