Another blow for Liverpool as the Saints thoroughly deserved their victory with the winner coming from Shane Long in injury time.Southampton outplayed Liverpool in the first half and should have been two goals to the good.Liverpool improved after the break and Can had an effort cleared off the line and there was a decent penalty shout,also.
But,overall,Southampton deserved their win and will meet either Hull City or Manchester United in the final at Wembley on February 26th.

Cheltenham Town have signed Scunthorpe United striker Kyle Wootton on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old came through the academy at the League One club and has scored five times for the first team in 42 appearances.

"We needed to get a big striker in and Kyle is a good opportunity for us to take someone who's got plenty of potential," Gary Johnson told Robins TV.

"People have recommended him to me and after taking a good look at him, we think he's a perfect personality and footballer for our squad."

Wootton has also spent time on loan at North Ferriby this season where he scored once in 14 appearances.

It is understood that representatives of the two clubs met at an unnamed Udon Thani "roadhouse" near the airport to thrash out the deal

Well,United made it to Wembley but that's about all you can say.Hull were the better team even without Livermore,Snodgrass and Mason.
There star man was the striker,Niasse,who I believe was signed from Everton.Now he's with a bigger club he could well flourish !
Mourinho should have learned by now not to play Rojo as a left back,only in the centre.He gave away a penalty,albeit a soft one.But all Uniteds defence were poor on the night and the midfield not much better.Overall a very poor performance but Hull played well and can concentrate in staying in the Premiership now.

Championship club Ipswich Town have signed Macclesfield Town winger Danny Rowe for an undisclosed fee.
Rowe, 24, has signed a contract until 2020 but will not available to play for the Suffolk club until Tuesday's league game against Derby County.
He has scored six goals in 25 National League appearances for Macclesfield this season and helped the Silkmen to the second round of the FA Cup.
Rowe is the fifth new addition made by boss Mick McCarthy in January.
Striker Kieffer Moore, defender Jordan Spence and centre-back Steven Taylor have all signed full-time deals, while midfielder Toumani Diagouraga has joined on loan from Leeds until the end of the season

Fingers crossed for a home win and revenge over Valiants team ... i wonder if he will be making the trip to Lincolnshire and in taking in the sights and basking on the beach in Scunthorpe prior to kick off or maybe visiting one of the many tourist attractions this quaint little town has to offer ... including Frod road chippy , The Britiania "gentlemens"club , whats left of the Steel works and the must visit Skippingdale industrial estate where slag heap skiing is now very popular ...enjoy .

However it is a sad reflection of my support that celebration is required when you get out of the drop zone..

In fairness to Town it was a well deserved away win against a Luton side fighting at the other end of the table. I am not hopeful that this is the start of a late surge towards the play offs, but a move away from dropping out of the league again would be very welcome!!

How about Newport (not even English) and Crewe (Karma for covering up for ****'s for years) going down.

Vale went behind to an early goal. It was nip & tuck then until after full time when Posh managed to bag a couple more. Vale getting worryingly near the drop zone.
The Iron went into a very early lead, but the Shrimpers were level before the break. Down to second as Sheffield United thump the Wombles at home.
Town drop 2 points in extra time as bottom side Newport salvage a point. It is mighty tight at the bottom, but they are now 4 points away from falling out of the league..
Congratulations to Macclesfield in beating tough competition to progress in the FA Trophy.
