It must be very confusing for you watching a bunch of guys zigzagging around the pitch in blue and claret and having no idea if it is the Iron getting pounded again or not. Your lot should get their own colours that tell everyone, 'We are the Iron', and you're in our house now! You do have a home stadium, don't you?

You have to feel a bit sorry for ex Newcastle (failed) goalkeeper Matt Sells, who is currently at Strasbourg and likely to be the first to face the Messi/Mbappe/Neymar strike force

First point of the new season after a 0-0 draw away at Rochdale.. the highlight was the pre match beef stoo i had as atake away from PFs Friday.

Both Rochdale and Scunny will be in and around the bottom of L2 this season .. and goals are looking rare with the Iron only managing 1 so far and that was a penalty not open play .. we are up the creek up front with no Van Veen or Eisa this season and a very weak squad.

Watched the Walsal V Forest Green highlights via Walsal fan TV and surprised how very very good FG were , they will be in the top places this season for sure.... i tipped Walsal to do well this season but not looking to rosey at the moment ..

Walsal v Scunny this coming Tuesday

Ive added the ironarmy youtube link below as LYM might get hooked to becoming a Scunny fan when he sees the passion, the joy the pain it brings ...and a few pints n real chippy

I see letting the "B" teams from Celtic/Rangers play in the lowland league is working well
Rangers won 9 - 1 and Celtic won 10 - 0 (away)

Statto please dont soil the grass roots thread with Jock football .. use another .. i recco the consolidated joke thread as all football North of the border is just that ..A JOKE... now with both Rangers n Celtic out the UCL they can look forward to big games like St Mirren away... if ever they do join the English league it would have to be L2 level .. wouldnt it ??

With both teams already knocked out of Europe, maybe these weren't their "B" teams?

Talking of B's in bonnets, since DM has personally asked for it, I will be keeping members up to date with all the thrills and excitement from the lower leagues north of the border.

Sorry DM, I don't think it would be fair to steal the joke limelight from Scunny at the moment. Not until they're totally finished I mean.

Start a new Jock footy thread ..im sure it would be popular :^o  ....... You n DR and ... er and DR and You.

Back to the real stuff ,,, Scunny trying to land a new striker this week and oh my lord do they need one .. but doubt in time for the L2 Walsal clash tomorrow night ... the Saddlers have started badly with 2 defeats so will be keen to get some points on the board at Scunnys expense.

A 92nd minute equalizer from Alfie Beestin was enough to snaffle the Iron a point away at Walsal over night .. not the best of games and leaves Scunny on only 2 points with 2 draws and one defeat ..so yet to win but at least scored a goal in open play ..
I followed the game on Walsal fan TV cos unlike I follow is free :D .. and the Walsal guy thought for some reason Scunny is in Scouseland ??? needed extra geography tuition from DM via the comments

Next up Saturday a must win at home to Sutton United newly promoted and tipped for relegation along with Scunny.

No chance of Scunny scoring if they still have their "rotund" pie eating goalie blocking their goal

Another draw fr the Iron .. 1-1 again .. home to newly promoted Sutton Utd

Latest Scunny signing Jake Skrimshaw from Bournemouth bags a goal (51 mins)on his debut but as usual the Iron couldnt hold on with Sutton scoring with a belting finish in the 84 minute.

Played 4 .. lost 1 drawn 3 ..3 points and as previously predicted its gonna be a long long tough season in which hopefully Scunny will survive but maybe not ..... i doubt they will ever get higher than 18th in the table during the course of the whole season.

Oldham look terrible , Walsal as well but the latter will improve im sure.
