Coventry travelling to Stoke today.

Notts Forest play Hull. I'd like to see Forest promoted for next season.
The first one is a tough one as I like both Stoke City and Coventry so a 2-2 draw would be entertaining. The Hull City Tigers have nice colours so let's go with the orange and black over the Sherriffs of Nottingham Forest.

Gosh, a 1-1 drawer for both games.

How are the Evertons doing? Remember he who laughs last, laughs best.

Your Toronto Maple Leafs beat Tampa Bay last night, 5-2, and are now up two games to one.
I understand it's less than 12 hours to kick off. I'm hoping 747man laughs best.

Scunthorpe shipped 7 yesterday.

Those feeling bad for DM can drop by his new homestead-in-the-making this afternoon with some cold Changs and try and help him get over it.

Here we go again .....footie authorities getting their knickers in a twist about non football matters.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/61492696

They stop games of footie now so that players during ramadan can take of food/liquid, yet they want to punish the guy for refusing to wear a shirt promoting poofta behaviour when in his country it is illegal..... Double bl**dy standards again, and what the f*** has it got to do with playing football, let him use a shirt with an ordinary number ... problem solved ... nobody hurt .... everybody happy ....... but no we have to make a mountain out of a molehill again

From The New York Times:
That reality arrived Wednesday in landmark contracts with the U.S. Soccer Federation that will guarantee, for the first time, that soccer players representing the United States men’s and women’s national teams will receive the same pay when competing in international matches and competitions.
No link as this development will be widely reported. Scunnie should do the same. Pay the sheilas the same amount as their men's team. A good idea?

Why in gods name would you pay them the same?
FA Womens cup final attracted 49000 to Wembley, but the mens final would have sold the stadium out 5 times
WSL matches (top tier) last year at Leicester City attracted less than 2000 people whereas many teams in National League (5th tier of pyramid) attracted regular attendances above that

Football's governing authorities should ban teams in civilized nations from importing players from nations with primitive beliefs.

There, sorted.

Oh dear. Another dinosaur.

How about because they work bloody hard at their game? Probably harder than (say) the men at Man U. Definitely harder than the Arsenal men right now.

Now, get a cup of tea, sit down, turn your VPN on and dive deep into the world of women's footie excellence.

WHEN and only when, it receives the same attendances/streams/hits as the mens game, and sponsors are willing to plough their money in at the same level, then and ONLY THEN should the question of equal pay be even spoken about.

I can tell you're feeling a tad insecure today. Do you want to talk about it?

I was flying a kite. I haven't yet firmed up an opinion. At present, I tend to favour your view except for Scunny. They could trial it in England.

Question should be why aren't Women Chess masters paid the same as Women footballers?
Why shouldn't my mother in law get more for working in the fields from dawn to dusk than some dyke footballer pretending shes a guy for a few hours a week :-"

I think you'll find the same sponsors that fork out to have the menfolk carry their name on their shirts are contractually bound to have their names proudly displayed on the ladies shirts as well. Maybe it rankles some that the ladies game is getting more bandwidth commensurate with the QUALITY and PROFESSIONALISM that some of the overpaid blokes frequently forget to bring to their game.
