People injured and reports of a stabbing as city centre chaos continues
Police are working through the night to disperse crowds after thousands gathered to celebrate Liverpool's Premier League win.......A number of people have been injured while many claim a man was stabbed during a night of chaos in the city centre.

Police officers are working through the night to disperse crowds from the Pier Head after thousands gathered to celebrate Liverpool winning the Premier League.

While many of those who joined the crowds celebrated calmly and respectfully, later in the night serious disorder broke out along the waterfront leading to multiple people being injured, a fire at the liver building and reports that a man was stabbed, although this specific injury has not been confirmed by police.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed that a number of people had been injured throughout the night as officers continued to bring the widespread disorder under control.

The extent of the injuries have not yet been confirmed.

Fire crews and paramedics were also called to the area to help deal with a number of incidents that occurred.

Late in the evening, firefighters extinguished a blaze on a balcony of the Liver Building before videos posted on social media show fireworks being aimed at the landmark.........
