The Covid hysteria continues.
He has been vaccinated and tested negative after the event.
What’s the problem.
Oh well it gives a chance for a couple of new Aussie quicks to show their skills.
Both been on fire in the domestic comp.

Adelaide and SA have about 18 months of "Covid hysteria" to catch up on. The WA premier will probably be saying, "See? I told you so." Their eventual "hysteria" will be even more prolonged and painful.

But back on topic, certainly adds an interesting facet to the second test but agreeing to the hope that your noobs put up a good fight (while hoping the Englanders fight even gooder).

Australia 2/220 at stumps, having survived the pink ball evening attack.

Go like fuuuck tomorrow during daylight hours, and put the Poms in under the lights late.

Sounds delicious. :D

They should get Buttler tested. Not for Covid though, looks more like dropsy to me.

Last few comments were a bit harsh but sometimes the truth hurts.

I’ll return to my totally unbiased comments.
I was actually waiting for Broad and Anderson to, using a phrase from another poster, skittle the Aussies.
Unfortunately the only 2 things the Poms did was keep the annoying balmy army quiet. And then prove their true grit by doing what any bowling attack does when being smashed and flayed to all corners of the pitch by a batsmen and that is to persevere no matter now bad things are progressing and stop a batsmen getting his hundred.
Unfortunately it was 3 blokes who had smashed their way into the 90’s.
Although the balmy army did find voice late on a very hot day when “what’s his name” belted a 4 very early before providing starc his first wicket. Only bright spark and sound after that was thunder and lightning.
I’m sure the one man show capt root will come out once again with confidence.
Rumor has it around the ground is England will bat well into the 4th day. Depends on when the follow commences I suppose.

Is that, "bat well into the 4th day or, "bat well, into the 4th day"?

Theres an argument that Rory Burns is actually better than the Australian batters. At least he gets an edge to the ball, the Aussies just play and miss. :D

Strewth!

How about "bat well (pause) into the 4th day"

Well (pause with large inhale) how wrong could I have been.
The poms will be batting again well into the 4th day. Either the Aussies get bowled out or they declare at tea one would think.
4 sessions may be enough to do the deed and go 2 up.

Another rumour is that the sponsors quickly sent the word out to the Aussies not to force the follow on. Need a 5 day test once in a while for the advertisements.

Well, (pause with huge deep breath) the poms are throwing all the dirty tricks into the mix to try and save the test by placing a COVID positive BBC commentator into the Adelaide press boxes with a clear intention of creating a super spreader situation.
Lesser news, unfortunately, is the poms captain and one man show has had to go for scans before the start of play.

And the Premier of WA says, "I told you so."

Again.

Further to that, he said enjoy your unrestricted Christmas - as I did last year when I was in Perth. \:D/

It would be ungracious of him to compare Perth to Sydney, or Melbourne, or even god forbid, London.

So 6 wickets in hand, and a full days play ahead for the Pommy batsmen. Will they chase the 400 odd needed?

Not sure rain is forecast.

Not sure your advice would do any good Starts as apparently Joe Root was walking on the beach a couple of months ago when he stubbed his toe, looking down he saw a bottle embedded in the sand,he dug it out and as he removed the cork there was a swirl of smoke and a Genie appeared, the Genie says to Jo"Oh thank you master I've been trapped in that bottle for 150 years,I can grant you one wish for freeing me" Joe Root says" that's great,I want to live forever"
The Genie says "sorry master I'm only an apprentice Genie and to grant that wish you need a Genie thats done 500 hundred years in a bottle".So can you make another wish.
Jo Root says ok and says " I want to live long enough to see an English cricket team win the Ashes in Australia"
The Genie says " you cunning bastard". 🤣🤣🤣🤣
