Don't think anyone can argue that the best team didn't win the comp. Always a bit of luck involved when the ball is looping about like that but the Pakis were always 20 - 30 runs short of a competative total.
Looking forward to the start of the summer of test cricket from the Gabba in about 3 weeks time. I think we play some of one dayers against England between now and the first test. Bring on the cricket.
As long as your lot leave the sandpaper at home should be some good cricket ahead :-" :-$

3 zip to the hosts against the world cup holders. Just scraped in with a 221 run win.
Lucky that 20-20 game at the MCG was washed out. :-"

OK can someone (anyone) explain how an opening batsman can record an 86 ball hundred on day one of a test match?

Excusable possibly on day 4/5 if the result is already sorted and you are just " entertaining" the fans that are left, but there is absolutely no reality where it should happen on day one

I had a bumper sticker in Texas that read 'Beam me up Scotty'. I often wish I could find one in Udon Thani

The real cricket is on in Perth. 200 for Marnus and 200 for Smith. A pleasure to watch.

Well done to the Poms on scoring the most runs ever in a day of test cricket. They are really taking to this Calypso cricket style of the coach. It will make the Ashes senational when they take on the Aussie pace attack with this cavilier approach.

Hey Statts. You watching the cricket? Could England possibly lose this test after making 500 on the first day? Pakis need 174 off 76 overs with 7 wickets in hand - lunch day five.

Brilliant. Had the declaration totally shut out the pakis it would have been a boring draw. And why test cricket is the only form of the game where winning or losing really matters. Also shows that interesting results can be manufactured on rubbish wickets. The game had it all. Well done to the coach and Bristol Benny

Yes. Very quiet Statts. Can't see why the home team feel the need to doctor the wicket when it's all said and done in 2 and a bit days. Wonder if the BCCI will bother to take the quartile approach in the 2nd and 3rd tests? We may as well charter flight from SA and send the sheilas over.
