Belgium play again today as do Canada.

More importantly, Ipswich play Buxton in the FA Cup.

Fortunes will change for Scunthorpe, they need a new owner, as you say. Everyone is waiting for the change while they continue to roll with the punches.

100% correct ..new ownership.and quick.is whats needed.. still.2 interested parties but its a co.plcated deal by allcounts with the ground owned by coolsilk and ajoining land with planning fir hundreds of apartments being two.of many hurdles to get over .

Im resigned to Northern PL footy next season ..no problem.so long as we get rid of Swan the current chairman.

I shall forever remain a scunny fan .. no bullsh8t 747 style excuses when we loose... we are crap .. but its my home town team.and part of my family history ...so as ever ..UP.THE IRON

Yes, Belgique seemed as pedestrian as England last night.
It seems our analysis that Belgium is weak was correct compared to DM's analysis that they are final four material.

It's hotting up at Coventry as a chap called William Storey asserts he had an agreement with SISU to buy the club. As we know, Doug individual is about to purchase an 85% stake.

Scunthorpe host Notts County at lunchtime on Saturday.

Thats MANAGERLESS Scunny ... Tony Dawsxrelieved of his duties as interim.manager stating he feels a more experience head is required .. bit late now Tony we are fooked

Sadly unlike Coventry no news on the takeover n new owners , possiblty of administration.luquidation is ever closer...and odds on for relegation yet again

Sad times indeed at one of tge former big football league clubs who always punched above their weight.

Stab me vitals, Notts County sit second from top while Scunthorpe sit second from bottom - could be painful. Here's the story about Tony Daws.

Scunthorpe United have moved a step closer to a takeover after a local group headed by Simon Elliott and Ian Sharp agreed a deal to buy the club.

The next step will be for the group to follow due diligence procedures and begin the transfer of the ownership.

Owner Peter Swann confirmed the deal would allow the club to pay staff wages, which are currently outstanding.

One might suggest that anyone willing to buy Scunthorpe would automatically fail "due diligence" on the grounds of insanity

There's something fishy going on with the sale of the ground, Glanford Park. It seems Swann transferred ownership to his development company and now he's selling it back to the new club buyers. But it also sounds like the new guys will be paying the club wages for November too.

Strange things going on at Coventry aswell with Gary Hoffman coming in on the CBS Arena team and the Doug individual club agreement not moving too much. Hoffman and potential club buyer, Storey, are linked.

Don't forget the Scunthorpe - Notts County game at lunchtime, Alan and DM. Hopefully, the lads have been paid for November.
