Bud Peter Grant

Post by Laan Yaa Mo » March 15, 2023, 9:50 am

The Canadian Football League is mourning the death of legendary Winnipeg Blue Bomber's coach Bud Peter Grant who died at the age of 95. I saw his teams play in Grey Cups at Varsity Stadium and the C.N.E. including the first overtime Grey Cup and the Fog Bowl. He also achieved some success as coach of the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL. RIP, Mr. Grant, and thanks for the memories.

Bud Grant was very successful as a NFL coach and over an 18-year period led the Minnesota Vikings to the most wins in the history of the franchise. That included four trips to the Super Bowl. Well respected by all who played for him and against him. He had a good run.

He had a good run for sure. Grant was also an all-star football and basketball player.
