Have a close look at the OP, DM - Go Wholesale is actually located in Udon, and no yellow book requested before the purchase of the croissants.

You may find that BD has changed since your last visit - it is no longer the BMI-challenged pommie enclave you remember with such fondness. :-s

We need to ensure DB, has the OM, along with the CA and HUM. With this done then we being the GH's can move forward to get the HV

I hope this will allow GW, NM, to be TSed

A day late - better late than never. Not much to add to what is above.

But it's good to see my breathless fan club is standing by, hanging off my every word. 🤣

Thought your fan club shutdown when Whistler stopped posting. :-"

JS ....GO is on the impoverished smoggy East side close to the favelas and i reside on the more hiso clean air West side (for now) and the new Makro is reachable on my bicycle with saddle bags.

Bang Dung never been the same since the late great Eddie passed away and it was under the control of the Brit Mafia spotted Dick , apple crumble and custard tarts were the norm back then not poncy croissants !!

i passed through recently (at speed as my typhoid vaccine isnt up to date) and noticed even the soi dogs had overalls on.

Visited the shop yesterday morning, liked it, and a tip for Aussies. They had fresh whole ocean coral trout about 2kg, around 250b kg, whole Spanish makeral around 2kg about the 220b kg. Also fresh Thai beef cut into 1-1.5kg pieces 220b kg and not buffalo. Not good for steaks, good for Chinese, stews, Thai and Malaysian dishes and others.

Makro has whole Spanish mac's in the 4-6kg size, too much for me. I will be visiting Go more often.

I hate shopping and new shops .. trying to find all the stuff you need before they move it .. drove past GO today circa 10:30am ( before it got dark ) car park was empty..so being a creature of habit i went to the new marvelous West side Makro and was in n out in 20 mins as i know what i want and more so where it is.. no Alaskan k i n g crab so i bought a couple of ripping pork chops instead.

I stopped in to have a look at GO yesterday. I like what I see so far on my limited look.

I really like the large wide isles. I can't imagine why that would be an issue for some. Perhaps 7/11 is a better fit for the ones that think its too spacious. I think after a couple of laps around I should know where things are and get my 10,000 steps in as a bonus.

I bought a few frozen steaks and a head of iceberg lettuce mostly to test the checkout efficiency. I really like that they take credit cards as I use one for everything I can for the IHG hotel points. The cashier spoke English and advised me to get the app on my phone so I could add my Central NumberOne card number and get some kind of discount. I will check this further next trip over.

Easy parking, wide isles and fast checkout with credit card support will help offset the distance from my home but I will likely stop in often since I generally need to go to ToolPro, Global or HomePro about once a week anyway.

Can recommend having a look. Here is the App QR if anyone wants to register before going:

For those of us who can spot a yellow discount sticker at 50 yards Go wholesale does have some good buys, Got a loaf of whole wheat bread for 25 baht, and other bakery goods all at half price. Unfortunately many of the special prices during the opening week have disappeared, as have some of the perishable items (no potatoes, at all?)

went today. Seems far more organized than my last trip. Last time I asked if they had pet food and got the mai me. But, it is located in the front corner of the store on the exit side.. Not a huge selection but the prices were somewhat lower than Makro... I note again cheese prices seem significantly lower than other places. Overall I think it is more expensive than Makro.. That said, Makro's makeover dropped numerous brands I've been buying there for over 10 years and others saw price rises..
