Great Auto/Truck Repair-Udon-Please Read...

Post by docta » December 18, 2008, 7:13 am

Hi Fella’s,

I’m making a plea for my very good friend SomChai, owner of; “Somchai’s Auto”.

SomChai previously located behind D2 in the Complex area was forced to move recently due to the newly planned construction.

I’ve known SomChai for 6 years, and right off the bat found him to be a uniquely qualified and mild mannered all purpose cool car guy.

SomChai is a deserving family man, and certainly could use a leg up in this very poor economy which is forcing many small businesses to the brink of extinction.

If Somchai doesn’t get a bit of help with business from our Farang community soon, his business is likely to be hitting the skids in a couple months, as well.

I know holidays are coming up and many of you won’t be thinking of car/truck stuff.

However, please, take a moment to check out SomChai’s qualifications, and how he may assist you with your car/truck repairs, and or, upgrades.

Even taking a shot assisting SomChai at the possible twilight of his business, is better than no shot at all.

Thanks,
Doc

Recent customer feedback;

Oct 19, 2008 - udonmap

I found it today !!!!

I admit I am not the brightest light bulb on the Christmas tree, but the only FORD dealer I knew about was the one outside the city a few clicks out of town on your way to KK. I have been driving that road to KK a few times in the last week looking for Somchai's place (next to the FORD dealer) without success.

Duh !! There are two FORD dealers in Udon.

I revisited Udon map and read Doc's directions again and found the place.

I had some electrical work done on the old piece of farm equipment I own and the staff was pleasant as usual and the prices were fair in my opinion.

I don't mind paying a little more if the work is done properly and with Somchai's experience in automobiles & trucks overlooking his staff; I felt that the work was done properly.

Not sure what his experience is with brand new cars & trucks but if you have an older model that needs things repaired or replaced like Stereos/tint/lights/electrical/exhaust etc.etc, Somchai is the man to see.

I forget to ask if this shop does oil changes. Does anyone know?

And, no I have no financial interest in the place.... I wish I did.

Note: Not all accessory displays are up for viewing, yet.
However, inventory not being displayed currently is available for viewing & consideration; all you need do is ask Somchai what it is you’re interested in.

Took my Toyota Mighty X in today, oil & filters changed a couple of bits of trim renewed and 1 bit secured, they did a general check over & the usual bits of oiling & greasing, informed me that the brake pads would need replacing soon.

Bill = 1535 bht parts & labour which was very favourable to prices i've paid in the past for similar work.
Very pleasant & polite people, I will certainly give Somchai my business in the future. :D :D :D :D :D

Looks as though Somchai's packing up inventory.

I'm sure if you hurry, good deals will abound.

I found this old post for Somchai auto repair and wondering if this place is still in business and is still recommended by any forum members. I need some repair work on my ford pickup, aircon and brakes.

Hi Carlos,

Somchai - Update

Search: Bosch car service udon thani

There you'll find easy directions/ phone, etc.../ just past south ring-road intersection on Hwy 2.

I've know Somchai for approx 14 years, he's now managing Bosch above.
Has numerous auto/ truck connections around town; good guy to know we always use him when in need.

Good luck,
Doc

It seems the Bosch place has been levelled. Does anyone know where Somchai is working now?

Jase this subject has been done to death on numerous occasions, a Good Repair Man, like bloody gold dust. We have Major manufacturers repair garages and many also repair garages which are just licensed by the Major Manufacturers.
There are also too numerous to mention Repair shops , most of them are okay but GOOD , that is the 64,000 dollar question.
There was one near to Satri Ratchinutitt ( Girls school ) which was supposed to be good, but directions not to sure.
