Tipco: apple juice 49.50, red grape 49.50, mandarin orange 53

Kellog's corn flakes, 500g (now made with REAL CORN) 94

600ml cans of bug spray with the needle nozzle (especially good for spraying in hard to reach places....and kills most anything moving) 59

Everyday prices at Ngeesoon. I've never seen cheaper.

Ngeesoon also carries in-date Jif peanut butter for like 143-146 baht per jar, which is far better than Lotus and Big C at 175 baht per jar. I believe Villa has it at around 160 baht a jar.

My favorite Ngeesoon 'special', which they have not had for a few months, is the Asahi beer, large bottles, buy one case and get one free. Makes it about 50 cents a mug. I prefer the Asahi to any of the local beers except BeerLao dark, which is also hard to find. If anyone sees this while there, PLEASE post. :)

This Week's Shopping Deal

Post by WhoUrDaddy » July 10, 2013, 4:09 pm

let me try this again..............................

i suggest shopping 'deals', maybe a special of something not available, or major sale, such as when tesco was blowing out western products.

example, from above, when Ngee Soon had Jif for 118 baht, i posted it, and said best price against Makro 125, guess what, Ngee Soon went to 125 next time I bought it.

Ngee Soon is the cheapest for Jif, other want as much as 175........frankly now I don't care, as I make my own, about 100 baht and better.

they do read the forums, and will adjust pricing accordingly. again, prego, used to be 36-39. now 43 because makro is/was 45..........again, I do my own.

no need to post their everyday regular prices, Ngee Soon is cheaper or same for most dry goods. Makro next, with fresh selections.

tesco/lotus and big c.........well, why bother. top and VM, IF there or can't find elsewhere.

you should stick to posting 'deals', sales, availability.............IMHO

for everyday deals

Ngee Soon Pringles, back to 37 after being at 45 for about 6 months

Makro for eggs............don't bother anywhere else, along with pork and chicken,

along w/bulk cheese/salami/pepperoni, pepper/smoked/paris ham for them sandwiches and pizza

although Dean's Papa Farangs Ham can't be beat for flavor and value, as not water added.

and if you can use it all, Philly creme cheese, though last small pack i got, was frozen at some point in storage, as it was crumbly, which deterred me from getting the large excellent value for making cheese cake. I think 2 kilo for 750, that's cheap for here

i did notice on the list that TETLEY TEA bags blue box has also been knocked on the head ref coming into Thailand approx 6 montha ago ..and any on sale in Thailand from now on will be very close to or out of date ,,,so check those dates boys , i turned down a real deal on it cos the stuff was miles out of date .... a substitute was TATA indian Tetley copy bags beware again ... its not the real Mc Coy ...
