This Week's Shopping Deal
Re: This Week's Shopping Deal
Glucosamine sulfate — with or without chondroitin — is the most effective.

You should check out iherb.com. Ship from US but very reasonable shipping. I use for all supplements, low dose aspirin etc.

Although the price of normal size packs of Mainland cheeses is on the rise at all locations, in Makro I found a 500 gram pack of their vintage brand strong cheddar for 249baht. This is essentially half price compared to the 250 gram packs, which are more commonly available. Unaware if they will package as 500 gram packs the other cheeses in the range.

For cheese at a lot less price than Makro's go to Dean's - Papafarangsstereolab wrote: ↑July 17, 2019, 8:33 amAlthough the price of normal size packs of Mainland cheeses is on the rise at all locations, in Makro I found a 500 gram pack of their vintage brand strong cheddar for 249baht. Re: This Week's Shopping Deal
Not good news I'm afraid. If anyone like me used to enjoy the delicious bread etc from the Yamazaki bakers in Central which has been closed for relocation over 3 months now but displays an opening soon sign, well they are not, apparently there is some sort of contractual dispute with the landlords whish is delaying the opening and they are unable to give a date for reopening if at all .A shame as that is a really nice bakery, I miss it .

I used to enjoy that place, maybe they might move elsewhere in town?
Re: This Week's Shopping Deal
Old grumpy, I second that...I miss the fresh bread and baguettes that we bought every week from Yamazaki bakery.
I wondered whether there was something more too it as it is way past the projected reopening dates
The boarded up area besides the food hall with the big sign up had its padlocked door left open one day last week, and I had a quick sneaky peek in and it’s just a bare shell with nothing but bare rough concrete walls
Sad ..but hopefully they can get it sorted with the landlords
Never rated tops bread from their bakery and fairly expensive in comparison

For those in search for a recommended bakery, the shopping section has "I need a bakery" with information. Updates would likely be useful.

"A big bag of crisps is a big bag of crisps. Only the clueless who have never bought a big bag of crisps would need to know the size."
And that would be tam?
To me a small bag is the B5 size
Big bag is the B10
Family bag is B20
Sharing size (put in bowl on the table) B30
Gianourmous size (never seen b4 got to Thailand) ....... never even asked
To my little cousin in law in the 'boonies" the B30 size is "small"

What ruddy difference does the size make? I posted because they were half price, get off your arse and go and look if your interested.

The Big Tesco (ring road) has done it again, moved everything. On the positive side, must have saved a few hundred ฿, was so fustrated trying to find things, I just left with half a cart. Just might skip next weeks trip.
