I'm sure the Thais would be good at BBQing kid goats. Years ago while in Mexico, I used to see them cooking on spits along the roads. I originally thought they were dogs. I was told they were cabrito and I didn't know what cabrito was. I was later told that they were kid goats. It was indeed a delicious meal.

I spoke to the man with the goat herd out here in nong wua so.looked healthy enough eating away on the greenery.said a large goat would be 2,000b.they maybe 20-25kg and I've yet to talk to the local butcher but I think he might do the business for 3-400b.might end up with 12kg of meat for 2,400b.im thinking slow cooker and currying one and freezing the rest.

I'll go see butcher tomorrow as I'm busy today.maybe speak to tom and jee and see if they might have a bit as I don't want a whole one.ill keep you posted on progress.the other thing is I'm a bit soft with animals and might end up with a pet instead of a curry.thought about one for the garden but they eat everything and I mean everything.flowers, laundry, scooter seats,I even see one eating the fur off another ones back.they look so cute running around the field with their little flappy ears and looking like bambi but they are one tough old animal,a bit like an African honey badger.

i had 2 " anglo nubian " goats as pets a good few years ago in England and you had to be careful they NEVER eat any thing that was EVERGREEN or they had big problems or death , and mostly " rhododendrons " ( had to look for spelling on that 1 ) as we had a few in the garden ...

Tonight cooked up a 2 kg Curried Jamaican Goat

Used Trinidad Tobago Scorpion chilli sauce and spicy as well as Australian Keens Curry

Probably one of the nicest home cooked curry I have had in years

The Goat is a winner !! Thanks Parrot
