Luggage Scales

Post by Bonanza » March 12, 2020, 11:46 am

Does anyone know where I can purchase a set of hand held digital scales for weighing luggage? I need them before Sunday so using Lazada won't work. Has anyone actually seen a set in a shop in Udon? Any help appreciated :D :D

I use my digital body scale. Once without luggage and once with luggage. Difference is luggage weight.

Vets have large scales to weigh dogs, perhaps for a small consideration they may weigh your luggage

Same here. Those ones with the dial and hook are crap.

I find that bathroom scales take up too much room in my suitcase, and eat far too deeply into my weight allowance, when it comes to the return journey.

Hence I stick with my small, portable digital hand scale for each trip.

You haven't thought about taking large veterinary scales with you then?

Who would be silly enough to suggest something like that?

Original poster problem solved.....for future ref: I've seen luggage scales in the ?Japanese? style stores, like the one on the bottom floor of Central. Cheap, compared to others.
Not related to the ops question.....but a scale nonetheless. I bought a digital scale from lazada......the kind for the kitchen, 280 baht delivered. I've been using it to reduce the sugar I use in my daily cuppas and to measure the amount of coffee in the same. I don't have a sugar problem.....it's just one of those things I've wanted to do.....and being retired, I have the time to do those things. 9 grams per cuppa down to 8 to 7 to 6 to 5 to 4. One week at a time and I've cut the amount of sugar by >half. I can also monitor the loss of gold in my 43 year old 2 baht chain from wear and tear. Retired life is great!

Hehe, I seem to recall they were expensive, just didn't want to mention it :-"
For what its worth, I've had mine a good 5 years now & they're still going strong. The cheap & cheerful ones I had before were lucky to last a dozen suitcase weighs. They've paid for themselves many times over in no excess baggage payments for Mrs N.
If they're the same model I found it useful to wrap a bit of tape over the battery terminal when I'd finished as they kept turning on in the bag & draining it
