With all this oppressive, clammy heat and moisture going about, I for one am very much looking forward to a Ploughman's Lunch soon. No flaccid lettuce please.

PS: Make sure there's extra potato salad.

the wife is staying with her for support, unfortunately with our helper quitting her job last month and the wife being away it's made it near impossible for the business to become fully operational yet. but at least everything is heading in the right direction now.

Good news indeed.

I will be over shortly for my twice weekly therapy session.

Hummm, I lived in the US for 25 years. I never once had an urge to buy, much less try to cook, a corndog. In fact, I don't think I have ever even seen one in the wild. I think I may have seen one on Dukes of Hazzard or some other TV series.

Just wondering why a fine, horticulturally educated, staunchly Anglocentric, gentleman of your stature with your very English cuisine set of cooking skills would ever try to cook and eat such a disgusting cliché for county fair tomaine on a stick? Sorry for your loss... of appetite.

Is the next stop a 7/11 hamburger replica trial? Now that would be a worry.

Asking for a norte-americano friend ;-)

i was just getting some fresh milk, just looking in their freezer when i noticed those abominations. maybe something to do with the four changs interfering with decision making. But at least i know now never to try again. they should be banned as not fit for human consumption . The dogs did like them though

It was absolutely splendiferous with a good showing. I saw at least 16 or 18 covers while I inhaled mine.

Dean, If there's any mashed spuds left, tattie scones would be nice.

Congratulations Dean. A tough journey but you did it like a champion.
