Outdoor Pool Tables

Post by Kudjap or Bust » May 11, 2008, 10:01 am

Does anyone know if there are any manufacturers of outdoor pool tables in Thailand.
Have found one in the US who ship worldwide but its very expensive as you can imagine.

Wish I could help Kudjup, when I lived in Florida there was a place that had outdoor pools tables. There are kind of strange looking aren't they? I mean the thing is made out of PVC and a weird kind of "astro turf" felt.

Salesman let me take a few shots on the demo table and it was surprising good how well it played. The salesman added "yea this baby will stand up against a Cat.3 hurricane" and be a nice way of passing the time during a hurricane party.

The company I found on the internet was from Longwood Florida...... They make them out of aluminium with a resin bed and something called sunbrella in place of the green baise............ look aestheticlly quite good.
Just found the website again http://www.outdoorpooltables.com

The US company has just replied to an email with teh following prices

1007 PORTABLE -- $3000.00
1008 STANDARD -- $3500.00
1007 SLATE -- $3750.00
2008(7) -- $4200.00 -- $4400.00(COLOR FRAME)
3008 -- $5200.00 -- $5500.00(COLOR FRAME)
TUSCANY 8' -- $5000.00 -- $5250.00(COLOR FRAME)

DINING TOP -- $350.00

The numbers relate to the table model number. The portable table is full size and looks good and sturdy and is 250LBs...

Waiting for the shipping cost to LOS..........given the exchange rate they're probably the same price as an indoor table made and bought here

Pool Tables.....

Post by ergman » May 13, 2008, 12:36 pm

2 numbers you might want to try are 1 - "The Ball in Hand" in Bangkok, the old number I have is +66-1-917-8530 and ask for Henning. He might be able to help you and tell him you got the number from Edward in Saudi Arabia. And 2 when I was there in December and watching a "9-Ball" competition on TV that was being played in Thailand I noted the number of the company who made the tables and there name was "Tan Loc Thai" and the number was 088355622.

I hope this info helps you from having to order from the states....

Ed :D

Hi ergman
Thanks for the info and numbers but I'm actually looking for a table I can leave outdoors next to the pool and spa and won't rot away...

What about termites and changes in humidity?

Outdoor Pool Tables....

Post by ergman » May 13, 2008, 2:46 pm

No I understand exactly what you are looking for but I was just wondering if one of those two places might know of someone there in Thailand who makes outdoor pool tables. Henning and Keith at the Ball in Hand I would think would know, if there even is a place at all, because they are VERY serious about billiards. If anyone would know they would. Also they do have a website.....good luck and I'll shoot some pool with ya at Xmas if you're around!! :D 8)

You should see these bad boys, Stan, there pretty cool. So it was resin there made out of, no wonder I though it was PVC. I had a customer that one of these pool tables and he left it out by the pool year round. He did have a cover so he didn't have to sweep out the bugs and twigs when he wanted to play a game.

Doubt we will get any monsoons strong enough to test the claim of standing up to a strong hurricane claim
