Possible to rent a condo for only 3 months?

Post by ugotguts » March 23, 2015, 5:43 pm

Hi Everyone

Is it possible to rent a condo unit for 3 months? I understand that many on at least half a year lease?

I tried searching on the forum and found out that there is some condo near UD Town. Anyone staying there? How is it like?

I see you have left messages on 2 advertisements.

Much better to send them a private message or send an email.

Many people do not check the adverts.

Depends entirely on the owner.
It would be difficult to rent a house for that short a time..not impossible, but difficult & you would have to try a great many properties before you found one.
All the condos in Udon are brand new, so I would doubt that anyone would be willing to let short term for (what I would consider) a realistic rent. They are more likely to want a 'Tourist' rate of rental.
But if you do not try you will never know..

drive around & you will see signs on the front if theyre available with a phone number. usually its the landlord but be aware of dodgy or fake landlords.

Any other recommendations?

I think that you need to decide what you do need ugotguts & then maybe some one can point you in the right direction..

The sort of things you might want to consider consider are...
Monthly cost.
Need/availability of transport.
Need for Kitchen.
Area of City.

At the moment you are asking about a very specific item - a condo on a 3 month rent.
It is not an easy item to find & from some of your replies I am not even sure it is what you actually need... :D

what you need is a long stay furnished room, like suksan, tong yai place or ruysuk, all in that order, 6000 baht and utilities metered.
tong yai place is next to UD
forget about a looking for a 3 month condo, thats a dumb idea
forget about cooking because you can eat out for cheaper than you can cook, and its easier

@Bob .. I will be definitely in Udon for 3 months to set my business. Thereafter if everything goes well, i can stay longer.. I don't mind taking a 6 months lease if the price is unreasonable. Afterall, i travel to Udon almost every month. Cost and location will still be the most important factors. Looking at all available options :)

@ting-tong.. thank! i was thinking of learning cooking but i have to agree with you that it will definitely be cheaper to eat out. The other reason why I am considering the condo is because of the facilities. I will be working from home, so I don't mind paying more to get a better room.

@pomps Thanks... what happened to AEK Udon??? hmmm...
