Has this place ceased business, as used to go for a good pedicure, but for the last few weeks the door is chained and padlocked?

I believe that it has, indeed, closed. Paul Dee Hair was a long time advertiser with UM. A while ago it was sold and the new owners initially continued the advertising, but then told us that they wanted to cancel. Shortly thereafter, we were informed that they had closed the shop.

BoosHogg, most every beauty salon in Udon will do a manicure/pedicure. Just walk in and ask. There's one at the southern end of Soi Sanpan close to Central Plaza. Give them a try! I'm sure there are others on the same street.

My wife and I have been going to a one woman shop in Nongsamrong. Actually she works out of her shophouse/home. Mani and Pedi for me is 80 baht. She also does full service salon type stuff for the ladies. I'll give you directions and phone number if your interested as I don't know what area you're coming from.
