Anyone bought or driven a GPX CR5 150cc

looks like quite a nice wee bike and I think you can buy a new one for sixty thousand baht

We have a 125 jumper, the tyres are crap and fall apart , as do most of the other plastic/rubber parts and despite telling you they carry the spares, they do not, get a main name Japanese model, far better spare parts availability.

I bought a white, 2014 model PCX 150, last year, best scooter i have ever had, so comfortable, and even though i have layed it on its side twice, its so cheap to change panels...around 450baht for the biggest panel...
i paid 76,000 at the time...
its also has a 8l tank, good for about 400klms i think...

Good advice , nothing worse than struggling to get parts , I saw them advertised for 59500 cash which is cheap as you say though probably a false economy [-X

I wonder if this is a chinese or thai made bike? Even the modern made japanese bikes are slow compared to what I am used to.

Fair chance its Chinese then , have to say when I looked at it I thought the quality was quite good for the price, maybe the bikes are improving like the smart phones :-k

its really a matter of getting something more comfortable than the Honda click on bike trips, recently did Udon to Loei and found the seat quite bad on the ass :-s

Id also like a bike with some luggage capacity and more fuel range but don't want to spend big bahts =;

the MSX is a toy for small people, gutless and no power

Keeway RKV 200 Oh god, another piece of crap! there are many of these for sale used, I wonder why?

for touring or cruising, step up and buy something like bumper did, 500cc honda

Keeway is expensive for parts and generally poor.

My wife, who knows about these things, suggests Honda Forza as good mid range choice (300 would be c£160,000 THB)

Thanks for the suggestion but the Forza is not something I would go for , 160k for a scooter , no doesn't get the juices flowing,

I have a Xl700 transalp in the uk , and before that a thundercat so ill probably buy big when I do

The CB500X is 215000. Givi, Hepco Becker, SW Motech all make hard tail box and pannier sets. Lots of options for soft luggage too. The wife has a CB300F which is also a nice bike but I haven't seen hard panniers for it yet.

Tall windshield, crash bars, hard panniers etc make for a very nice here to there bike.

In my opinion to buy any of the non japanese bikes here is asking for trouble, the chinese ones do not have the spares backup networks and in my opinion quality is poor.

Got to agree with the above, theres a reason they are cheap/cheaper,spend the extra it will be worth it in the end, these bikes look good in the showroom doesn,t take them long for them to start looking old.New a guy who bought a ryuka, never seen a bike age so quick.
