Long time parking at the airport.

Leaving for 11 days and living 50 kms from the airport what are my options?
At 200B/day this Will come to 2200B, I do find that too much.
I saw a New parking area in front of the New terminal but Seems not operational yet.
No taxi’s around the place I live.
Is It still possible/advisable to leave car at the free area near the controle tower?
Any nearby cheaper option, say for 1000B?

There is a sign at the school across the street from the airport entrance.....parking 100 baht per day (it's in Thai). I'd guess you could bargain down for a long stay.

Check out these two links...covered parking with shuttle to airport. Don't know the price on the first one, but you can call. Both are within 5 minutes of the airport.

I have used this parking garage for 100 Baht per day and the service is excellent:

I got stung for nearly 1,000B last week when I left my car there.
I normally go up on the bike and that was free last time.

I also thought it was a bit much at 200 Baht a day.

I do see some cars parked on the left hand side when you are coming up out of the car park on the one way road going out, still in the airport.
I am not sure if there is a charge there, but I have seen it flooded at times.

Any one know about this area?

The long-term day-rate at Swampy is 140. But Udon Thani is far more upscale, cosmopolitan, fashionable and sophisticated than Bangkok, so its understandable how they demand a higher fee.

interesting options, thank you guys.
But a friend saw my topic and just called and offered to store my car at his place and drive/pick up our little family to/ from the airport.
Thanks friend!

That is free parking and now the rains are over, it's filling up rapidly. Before, when it was wet, the major risk was getting bogged. Now the risk is simply getting blocked in by the conscientious double-parker.

Did the "park and ride" scheme shut?

Yeah, why not take the bus to the airport?

Just kidding, there is no bus.

Ahhh, paradise.
