Need advise on tomorrow's road trip to Bangkok.
Leaving from Udon to condo next to Seacon Square which is on Srinagarindra Road just east of Suvarnabhumi airport.
Normally I would take Hwy 2 south to the Saraburi bypass, then Hwy 1 south, then Hwy 9 the east ring road, then Lat Krabang Road west to Srinagarindra road.
However a friend who travelled to Bangkok and back on wednesday and Thursday said there were huge tailbacks on the southbound lanes near Pak Chong, mainly caused by trucks.
Thinking of alternate route: At Korat bypass take 304 south, then 365, 314 and Lat Krabang road west to Suvarnabhumi.
Any thoughts?

Re: Bangkok Road Trip
Have gone that way to Savvanabhumi many times.
I go on the 304 to Chachensao then turn off to the motorway,
It is well posted as you approach Chachensao.
It is just as quick and a bit shorter in KM.
I also use that route to go to Pattaya as the 331 road is full of traffic light stops.

If you look at live google maps here https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Udon+Th ... 563309!3e0
it is not showing any major delays between Korat and Saraburi.
