From Patts to UT in November
From Patts to UT in November
I'll be travelling up to UT from central beach road area Pattaya in early November and wonder if anyone can advise whether it's better to bus/taxi from there and then fly from either Suvarnabhumi or Don Muang airport?
Normally arriving from UK I hit Suvarnabhumi and then get a domestic round trip flight from BKK to UT same day and then either dovetail my return to BKK with my flight back to UK or spend a few days in BKK first. This will be the first time flying to UT from Suvarnabhumi isn't the only obvious choice. I know Suvarnabhumi airport is closer to Patts but on the other hand it does get busy and I've no idea about the bus services yet.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Can fly from U-tapao (airport for Pattaya) to Udon Thani.

Only if you have your own plane. I can lease you my Learjet for a modest fee.

Damn. There were flights in 2020 or 2021 (we flew there). Just assumed still running. (note to self - always google your answers, things change!)
Re: From Patts to UT in November
Rick I can still rent you my private Learjet at mates rates, I am not using it today.

Just remembered, I forgot to renew my license ...... ah well, back to Route 2 again I suppose
Re: From Patts to UT in November
Thanks for the Learjet offer, but being a cheap Charlie my options are still between the 2 Bangkok airports. But if there's any chance of hitching a ride, I'll happily hang around in Patts with my thumb out ....

I thought I read about a new bus service for Pattaya and DMK but I haven't confirmed it. Despite there being a few more daily flight choices DMK-UTH, I'm not sure the extra road time from Pattaya is worth it. Bell bus still does the regular service from Pattaya to BKK and there's 3 flights a day to UTH on Thai Smile so not overly complicated.

Many thanks - a straightforward choice then, BKK it is. Cheers.tamada wrote: ↑September 20, 2022, 9:55 pmI thought I read about a new bus service for Pattaya and DMK but I haven't confirmed it.
