Hi
My significant other has diffuse hairloss which is needless to say very hard to accept for a woman.
She does not trust doctors here in the West (where we live), or at least would also like a second opinion from a homeland doctor too.
So on a future trip home to the local som tam pots we would also like to consult a thai doctor.
We naturally come in via Bangkok from our international flight, and might as well consult a doctor in BKK and not back in Udon.
We (I) are looking for a real hospital/clinic/dermatology department, not a beauty salon that will do hair spa treatments.
Can any of the esteemed readership recommend a good hospital in BKK, and in particular a good dermatology dept/dermatologist ?
Bumrungrad pops up in Google.
Thanks in advance for any help and good suggestions !
Good BKK hospital - perhaps Bumrungrad ?

Wayne747, you may want to take a look at this:

My wife was having some pretty bad hair hair loss when I came here two years ago, and we attributed it to stress. Once she transitioned into a new life with me, the hair loss discontinued. Menopause is also a contributing factor.

Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

Send an email to [email protected] asking what you want to know and if they can help, for me they are the best in Thailand by a long shot. The skin specialist I see their is Dr Nussra every year to check for melanoma.

Maxeboy, semperfiguy and coxo:
Thanks a lot all.
Good to know Bumrungrad is the place to go.
Maxeboy, if we get closer to decision to go, then I will pm you for sure.
I do hope we can sort out things here in farangland where doctors are probably better educated.
The "problem" is they take a balanced view of treatment and don't immediately give you injections.
Funny name, Bumrungrad, one would think it is a Russian outfit
Stress is indeed a factor in hairloss, which doctors here have mentioned. The problem is that stress today shows up as hairloss 4-6 months after . That makes the cause-effect relationship hard to demonstrate. It would be easier if stress today gave hairloss tomorrow.
Coxo, I read your input on melanoma too - which prompted me to ask about Bumrungrad. Thx
