I'm asking for some help to locate recommended hearing aid supplier in Udon, for my invalid older brother. The posts on this forum seem a bit outdated, is there any newer information? Thanks.

I believe there's 2 hearing aid shops in Udon. One is located just opposite Landmark Plaza on Udon Dutsadi Road and the other is located at the 3 way intersection of Srisuk Rd and Pho Niyom Rd which is the same road which runs in front of the Udon General Hospital. I've used the second shop to purchase hearing aides, batteries etc for my brother-in-law.

Good day Mr Petl...
I would appreciate if you could post your findings after visiting the hearing aid shops.
Have a nice day.

There is a DEAR Hearing Aid center near UD Town......as you're coming from Makro toward AEK, cross the railroad tracks and the center is on your left.......just past the RR tracks.

I receive my hearing aids in Bangkok.....Audimed. For me, it's worth the $100 to fly up/back and be able to choose from a wider range of hearing aids. There are hearing aids and there are hearing aids. I've got a pair of Oticon OPN 1........but have had a variety of other brands. The OPNs are easily the best of what I've had.

I'll have to pay them a visit to see what brands they carry and more importantly can they repair hearing aids locally.

Best to figure out where you'll be able to get the aid serviced here in Thailand before buying. These things take a real beating from the weather here in Thailand. My brother-in-law uses a small drying unit to place his aid in every night to extend its life.

The army hospital. I buy my batteries there. My sister-in-law got a hearing aid from the government hospital a few years ago.
