Cataract Surgery

Post by Udonhoward » March 8, 2019, 8:49 am

Lots of posts here, but does anyone have any experience with recent cataract surgery here in Udon (also prices)? I was at the opthamology clinic at AEK yesterday, met with Dr. Chantamoon. She seemed very professional and competent, and spoke good English.

Some of the ophthalmologist in Udon have the ability to do the surgery at their clinics.
The surgery is one piece of the total cost. The IOL (inter ocular lens) is another consideration. Information on the lens used appears to be a guarded piece of information.
Most of the time you will need reading glasses after the surgery.
Some patients are also left with a small astigmatism after the surgery
