refractive lens replacement

Post by Hoopoe » November 15, 2019, 8:14 am

having just been in hospital for various eye tests , was informed of growing cataracts in both eyes , (early stages) they then advised solutions , replacement lens ,single lens , = far vision OR near vision, or double lens = far & near but no middle vision, , i've decided to wait until it's gets worse , then i came upon this article ,for those interested ,

My friends wife had this done recently in Australia.
She's extremely happy with it.
She just got the single vision lenses but is extremely shortsighted,

This is the same procedure as replacing the lense when you get cataracts they just put a prescription lense in place instead.
Unlike laser surgery. there is no messing with the eye;s optics, just a slit at the side of the cornea to extract and replace the lense.
Also, unlike laser surgery, it can be performed many times with no ramifications to the vision.

It's the way to go.
