Look you can dispute the cost as much as you want, the first operation removed 99% of the smashed disc ( Surgeons words not mine ) from between two vertebrate,( interestingly for those that decry surgery )
The back specialist doctor we saw advised against surgery, as most good one's do. I will take his advice.

Why do you continue to waffle on for half a page when what you say can be said in one sentence?

Thankfully with MRI's and other procedures they know where and what to do before opening you up!!!

Dr Kittipong Orthopedic Surgeon, trained in USA, very good English and patient manner. Recommended by my good mate dunroaming, sadly didn't help the nonsense golf I play now oh and also by all Thai orthopedic doctors. Attends Bangkok Udon every 2nd weekend but is chief resident at KK General mostly.
Thanks mate yes a great surgeon to be sure

I saw Dr. Phanunan last night after doing my MRI's on Saturday, and he said my lumbar was in good shape and was even like a man much younger than me. The neck has one disc between two vertebra that is worn and the bones are rubbing together and probably causing my pain. He suggested a laparoscopic surgery which is very low risk to replace that disc, but he wasn't pushy at all. He said it would be 300,000 at Bangkok Hospital Udon, but I insisted on using the Army Hospital if I do it at all, and he lowered the price to 150,000. I am very reluctant to do any type of surgery and will continue to mitigate the pain with meds. I'm actually feeling better day by day, so I'll give it some time and see how I feel later before making any snap decisions.

^Just a suggestion, I have various back problems, avoid medication and doctors (my choice !) I use the acupuncturist just off the Nong Khai Road, gives me relief and keeps me on my feet.

Thanks for the suggestion Airportwo! Can you give us an exact location by Google Maps or a contact number we can call for directions?

Khun Paul, I appreciate your PM's to advise and encourage me. I have tried to respond by PM, but it seems you have disabled the function to allow replies to your PM address. Just thought I'd let you know in case you are unaware of this.
