new glasses react to LED light

Post by samuel » August 21, 2021, 6:27 pm

i have a hard time with my new glasses - i am still looking for the right glasses to sit on the pc and read.

apart from that i have already told the optician that the glasses have a problem he may not be aware of it but he does not seem to care much about it.
the lenses reflect the LED light on the ceiling ! :-k

one of the new glasses in green and the other in blue.
sometimes it feels like someone is dazzling me with a laser pointer, depending on the angle the LED hits the glasses on the inside.
whether in the office chair in front of the pc or when I'm walking around in the house.
We have the same LED lights throughout the house.

Is it normal for glasses to reflect so annoyingly?
the glasses I brought with me from abroad are not as reflective as the ones I try here in Udon Thani.
but they are old and need to be replaced.

>>> Any advice and help is very much appreciated <<<

I have a new pair of lenses that I got from Udon Optical a few weeks ago but when I'm on the computer, I mostly use an older pair of single focus lenses. ......we have a wide variety of lights in our house....some circular fluorescent, some older style circular led, and a few of the newer generation. I sit under an older led circular light when I'm on my computer. I can't duplicate anything like that in your photos with either pair of glasses

When I used to wear glasses, (many moons ago) I used to ask for an anti reflective coating.
Couldn’t say whether this works for LEDs as they weren’t as popular then but it certainly worked for normal incandescent bulbs, fluorescent tubes, sitting at an old crt monitor & early lcd monitors

Hate to state the obvious...turn off the lights.
LEDs will be more noticable as they are a focused beam.
