Is there an ENT Specialist at AEK
Does anyone know if there is an ENT (Otolaryngologist) specialist in normal residence at AEK, or is it a case of one from Udon hospital attending at certain times? Also would that include a Audiologist?

AEK's website shows ENT (ear, nose & throat specialist), Dr Sumet, on their staff listing:arjay wrote:Does anyone know if there is an ENT (Otolaryngologist) specialist in normal residence at AEK, or is it a case of one from Udon hospital attending at certain times? I was a patient of Dr Sumet's for several years.....he cleared up a long-term ear fungus problem that my Air Force doctors couldn't get a handle on. If you go to AEK, you'll pay a premium.....if you go to his small office on Phosri road, you'll get the same doctor and same treatment for a fraction. His office, like so many doctors downtown, is pretty barebones, but he does good work and won't overcharge. Best to see him on M-F, but also open S/S. He'll probably be closed for Chinese NY. Phone 042-223-786, 356 Phosri Rd. Located about 100 meters past the center traffic circle as you're heading toward the police station. He's on the left hand side.

Re:
I found this post this morning when I was looking for a ENT specialist. I gave them a call and went directly over to see the doc. No waiting and the doctor was excellent. He spoke good English, was very courteous and had excellent bedside manners. He used a miniature vacuum cleaner to clean the fungus from each eardrum, then swabbed the eardrum/canal with medication. Got two prescriptions to go, and the entire bill was only 320 Baht. Had a problem finding parking, but as I left the office the receptionist suggestion next time we use a private parking lot for 10 baht just beside the office. If you're driving west on Posri, turn left into the first little drive between two buildings after the circle. Office hours are M-F 8-1 then 5-8 PM, Sat 9-1, Sun 9-12:30, Holidays 5-8 PM. I highly recommend this guy.parrot wrote:I was a patient of Dr Sumet's for several years.....he cleared up a long-term ear fungus problem that my Air Force doctors couldn't get a handle on.
