RIP Paul Bond

Post by Fuzzy Ken » April 21, 2021, 10:01 am

It is with much sadness that I report the death of my friend Paul who died last night. He had been ill for some time but right now I have no further details. I will be speaking to his partner Mmy a little later and will report accordingly.
No further words, just tears for a real gentleman

This is is extremely sad and upsetting news. Paul has been a mate for some 11 years and one of only several Udon residents that I class as good friends. He was such a caring, giving snd deep thinking soul who will be sadly missed.

My thoughts go out to his friends, family and partner Em whom he leaves behind. As Ken says, a true gent and a few tears will be shed. RIP mate

Very sad news. Paul was an extremely clever and personable guy. I had many enlightening discussions with him since we met in 2008. Will certainly be missed. Condolences to Em and all his UK family.

Photo herewith of Paul at my restaurant, taken some time ago.
As soon as the usual procedures with the British Embassy and local authorities have been completed, I hope to be able to post details of the funeral. Regrettably, being in Phnom Penh, sadly, I shall be unable to attend.

I met him when he became a regular customer at my bar in the old soi falang some 15 years ago.
A very kind and generous man who helped many through difficult times.

You got it; Actually, its only a 10 minute walk from the Army Hospital, heading south on Thahan Road and turn right on Soi Laungpauprangam.

Re: RIP Paul Bond Correction/update to funeral time

Post by Fuzzy Ken » April 27, 2021, 9:20 pm

UP DATE 21:10
Just heard that there may be a delay with Paul's funeral. I understand that The British Embassy have not completed their clearance on this which may delay the proceedings until later in the day or to another day.

I hope to receive confirmation around noon tomorrow and will post on here accordingly.

He's been in real medical trouble a few times in recent years but he always recovered. It was a shock to hear of his passing. One of the better guys.
