RIP Bernie, Finally finished Wombling over Wimbledon Common, Dug yourself a nice big 'ole in the ground and had yer last cuppa tea with Fred ......... now time to rest

Yes, it's a sad loss. I've been reading alot about him for the past couple of days from the BBC, Neil Tennant and John Cleese. I never knew he came from Oldham or that he was a Para.

Along with Martin Bowler, Cribbins' angling series, "Catching the Impossible" is quite possibly the most beautifully filmed and professionally presented fishing program I have ever watched. Each episode was superbly orchestrated to capture the true essence of angling's challenges and simple pleasures. One of the very few fishing programs I've found to be worthy of re-watching.
