I have been following it to date on #680 (Fox Sports) and on #689 (Fox Sports 2) Excellent coverage so far, yesterday (Sun.) was a rest day. Action re-commences today as we enter the second week culminating in the Finals next weekend.

My grateful thanks to Statto, Panmotor & Goodison for their helpful efforts; also for being perceptive enough not to be mislead by my obvious spelling mistake. Am currently enjoying execellent coverage on 680Fos ports HD. My thanks gain.

Greetings Marjamlew. :-s :-k So, which of the four women involved is the AUSSIE :lol: \:D/

NB: Picture of the ideal AUSTRALIAN tennis player :-" :-" . Of Hungarian parents granted refuge in Oz; born in Sydney; represented Oz at Tennis until 2012, (when she became 21), prior to which time she benefited from the Oz National Tennis Coaching Academy, Then, for whatever reason decided it suited her best interests to desert Oz and accept British Nationality. When not on tour, her tennis coaching takes place mainly in Spain, and her "home?", is in the UK.

But I still hope she beats Venus Williams tonight; long past time for a change in both the womens' ,and the mens', tennis scene. Happy viewing.

Cheers Mat,
I do agree that a change would be nice. Go the Hungarian, Aussie, Brit.... As I said it's been a long time between drink so I reckon I can clutch at straws.

Yes,disappointing that Miss Konta was beaten by that enduring fellow,Venus Williams,who seems to go on forever !
One has to hope Miss Garbine Muguruza now triumphs on Finals day.

For the men,yet again we are left hoping Rodger Federer adds to his many Wimbledon titles.

[quote=wazza post When Andy Murray wins blah blah , when he looses he is a Scott..... lol

That is true of the attitude of some the English supporters, Wazza; as is true, but the other way around, of the Scottish supporters !! :roll: However, unlike Kanta and parents, Murray personally has not first chosen a nationality of a country providing refuge; enjoyed the benefits of and, - proudly? :-s - represented that country, then elected to change nationality.
Mind you the days when , generally speaking, people were fiercely proud of their birth country, has been on the decline for several decades, and one has only to look at the personal histories of members of certain various Olympic Teams, as a prime example of the truth of my assertion. So perhaps Kanta should not be criticized for following what has become a normal trend.
While admitting to the possibility of personal prejudice, I think ethnic Aussies, Kiwis & South Africans, in the main, still retain that 'old fashioned' passion for, and pride in, representing their homeland, and are among those least likely to change their allegiance. (PLEASE Statto and/or Zid, refrain from any smart***e remarks regarding ex England Captain Tony Gregg who was kind enough to agree to help England out in it's time of cricketing crisis! :-" :lol: ).

Back to Tennis, and tonight's semis:
Federer , in his most difficult match of this tournament, to beat Berdych. Cilic to beat Querry; probably in three sets.

Coincidentally, I was going to include a request to Zid, as UM's official provider of titillating photos, to find and post 'appropriate' photos of what Venue will now be forced to face tomorrow. Should have known he would be ahead of me. Perhaps, as an act of kindness to us Aussies, he could do some research on the members of our womens cricket team, among whom there are two or three attractive members, and provide photos? [-o< ;) \:D/

Some members may be confused by mat80's spelling........ :-k so please note the following....

Kanta = Konta
Gregg = Greig
Venue :roll: = Venus

and for football followers this coming season......Maurinho = Mourinho ;)

Anyway,as to pictures.....
Heres another one of Garbine Muguruza
Garbine Muguruza tennis.jpg
As for attractive Australian women cricketers......well,its easier to find sexy pictures of Theresa May ! :badteeth:

Heres one who is not bad......Ellysse Perry
Ellysse Perry.jpg
Finding attractive Australian women,generally,is a thankless task but this young lady was voted Australias most attractive female.....Delta Goodrem.....but shes rubbish at cricket,I believe !
