Re: 2018 AFL Season
Funny game football. Showed a bit of interest and the result happens. Wonder if we can entice Wazza out for next weeks Dogs and Swannies showdown?
Big game against the Roos next week Macca. Time to get one on the board.

IMO I think the Blues are where they should be and believe they are still trying to play the way Mick taught them until they start playing football they have no hope.

Re: 2018 AFL Season
Being a positive thinker, I have just looked through the full AFL season draw and unfortunately, I honestly cant see one game at this point in time that I could call the Blues having a chance of winning. I suppose we just have to start another 5 year rebuild.
I was actually looking forward to a mid pack season. Next year maybe.

Re: 2018 AFL Season
Not to much to chat about with our regular contributors this week. Wazza's swannies got us yesterday but the dogs are back. I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon in the past players room with a couple of old mates. Would have nice nice to steal the win but not to be.

Re: 2018 AFL Season
Well the race by the mighty Blues to win the 2018 wooden spoon nearly had a hiccup with a much improved display against the WC eagles.
But it does make one think of the long past better days of the blues and also how the supporters were able to have a beer or 2 during the game.

Re: 2018 AFL Season
Would have to re -mortgage the house to have 2 doz beers at the G these days Barney. Although a massive session on the cans might be compulsory before watching the scray the way things are going at the moment.
Anyway we have the Blues on Friday night footy this week and both of our teams are a chance of a rare win. I'll be on the turps at the ICI Club in on Friday arvo a good four hours before the ball is bounced so either way the result won't bother me too much - unless of course we get done. Carn the Dogs.

Well Lew you can breath a sigh of relief the Blues just cemented them selves to the wooden spoon IMO that's where they will be for the rest of the season, bottom of the ladder.

Re: 2018 AFL Season
Was three parts pissed before it started Macca and it was still hard to watch. Two youngest teams in the comp and it certainly looked like it. Seems the only way is up for both sides.

Re: 2018 AFL Season
Had to do a bit of a shout out Macca and Barney. Can't remember the last time that both of our teams won on the same day. Must have been very sweet for bluebaggers all over the world giving it to the dons. Nice to see the young scray team win a couple on the trot too.

it depends which Bulldogs team turns up. Essendon has the same problem this year.

Not a good result again Lew early score looked ok but not be, hate to think what the hand bags will do to the Blues this week.
Re: 2018 AFL Season
Probably something similar to what Richmond will do to the Saints.

Re: 2018 AFL Season
Well done to the Eagles. They hung in there.
I took a bit of perverse delight at the photo of the dejected Eddie. The Pies sure have a history of choking in the big one.
That said this thread started with us taking the piss out of the Pies. In the end they did have a good season and should be a threat again in 2019. No chat about flicking Buckley or Simpson now.
