Womans T20 final

Post by Barney » November 25, 2018, 3:07 pm

With not much to brag about lately in the world of Aussie cricket it was good to see the Australian Women take a comprehensive victory in the Final of the World T20 championship tournament by, as reported, "Routing the England team" and winning by a country mile against England at the Sir Vivian Richards stadium in Antigua.
Now 4 times victors in 5 years is a good result for our cricketing stocks.
I actually watched a few games on the TV and the girls from the tournament, in all teams, are quite strong and some of the 6's would go all the way on many grounds. Perhaps this is a sign of the times with the bats used these days.
Well done Australia. \:D/

Yes unfortunately clutching at straws marjamlew, but got nothing else of late, especially after today against India, our 4 opening bat losers cant get a strike rate above ground level and the Indian first 4 bats were near 150 or more SR. Oh yeah and we cant bowl at the death either. How can we supply any players to the IPL. I can see a sad summer for the aussie cricket spectator.
But the girls definitely had a crack and deserve credit. If the Pom shiela's had won i would be displaying just as much praise. :^o
