Village Police

Post by noosard » May 15, 2023, 8:58 pm

The village police help in many ways
They do ya ba checks
and are often called out to deal with the problems that ya ba cause
In the early stages of the covid 19 pandemic they were the front line to stop the spread in the villages
They manned road checkpoints and asked where travelers had been and where they going
Outsiders were made to do quarantine
My wife was one of these village police
and she asked me what questions to ask any falangs they might encounter
when I posted this info on Udon Map a post came back saying this racist
where in fact it was not as falang were not singled out at all
This poster has stated numerous time if he was wrong he would admit so and apologize
In this case he has not done so

the village police can be an asset to a village's security or not. It would depend on who participates, their leadership, and their relationship with the regular police. Yes, in our village they turned out for COVID measures and for the New Years' holidays generally have some checkpoints set up.. I've also seen them with the mosquito fogger on occasion. But, I've also seen the village police at their checkpoint totally jolleyed up on beer or booze. Their effectiveness in countering drink driving or ya bah or criminality again depends on who is participating and their leadership. Our gang is almost all 65+ year old women.. Not a group that is going to aggressively confront some young punks or angry drink driver...

Our village police are younger 40-50s
But it is worry when they get called out to stop some yaba fiend
this would happen at least once a month just in our village
they do go help out in other villages as well
