Are all Thai Girls Immature or Child-like?
Marry with Thai GF
Before you marry with a Thai GF do you expect her to tell you all the trurth about her previous life, what she was doing for living and that sort of things....
You discover after marriage she lied you on so many questions you asked her about previous life, what you should do?

Asking about her previous life and to her maybe just a small lie, that if she was married before, ask to see the photographs of the wedding,in showing some interest, and if she claims to have a brother, why does he look like the bloke she marriedZakariya82 wrote:Before you marry with a Thai GF do you expect her to tell you all the trurth about her previous life, what she was doing for living and that sort of things....

Just a thought

We can live with previous history of marriage or releation ship as long as its over.
But when you discover she wasnt honest in some particular questions like having affair recently
what you will do, will you continue with marriage and trust her ?

OT reckons it takes a good couple of years to know and trust a Thai WFB. Actually that goes for any WFB, not just a Thai.zothman wrote:We can live with previous history of marriage or releation ship as long as its over.

A lot of fellas living / marrying a Thai lady have burnt their bridges and have no-where else to go, so they put up with anything their partner does. Recently,I heard about a falang getting B5000 a month out of his pension. The Thai wife takes the rest and does whatever she wants.
OT..................

Which gets back to the question of the OP.old-timer wrote: Recently,I heard about a falang getting B5000 a month out of his pension. The Thai wife takes the rest and does whatever she wants.
Obviously (again) the answer is NO!

Bumping this thread because I just came across it.
I've been with my Thai partner for 5 years. We've had some ok times on outings and traveling, but mostly we just argue a lot.
From her side, I'm probably just a demanding impatient ass, but from my side, she is just very poor at understanding complex ideas. And i'm not talking about rocket science or philosophy. I'm talking about If A == B and B == C, then A == C. She doesn't seem to really pick up on logical arguments, and forgets the beginning of a sentence by the end.
The roughest part is that she doesn't seem to be *able* to improve her communication. I'll say something about needing to do such and such, or make a comment about our living situation, she'll smile and agree with me. Then I'll ask her, can you repeat back to me what I just said? 50% of the time, she has no idea what I was talking about, but is too polite to ask for clarification.
I've tried for years to get her to say things like, "What do you mean?" or, "I don't understand", but she seems to refuse to ever ask. It reduces my desire to tell her anything at all. She's really sweet though.

The same thing happens in government schools. It's cultural. Asking a teacher to explain something implies that his/her initial explanation was deficient in some way.

I've been married to Thai wife for 20 years and in that time I think she has admitted to be wrong maybe 3 or 4 times. It's all about saving face, and just not in Thai culture, I've seen it in Korea and Vietnam also.

Whoa Nelly! It is the opposite situation with us. My wife speaks very little English, and sometimes I pretend to know what she is saying in Thai. However, lately she has been testing me, and asking to repeat what she said as in, where did I say I was going? My response is usually stony silence.jackspade wrote: ↑September 15, 2024, 6:55 pmBumping this thread because I just came across it.

During the flooding in Chiang Rai this guy keeps popping up on the news, the one with the full moustache and slicked back hair. Two nights ago, he was perturbed because a villager would not let him speak to a news interviewer, and he kept impatiently walking around in circles. I said he wants to be a police super star like 'Big Joke'. My wife disagreed. Last night there he was again giving out food to stranded villagers and receiving a hearty round of applause for his efforts. Again, I said that he is acting like a police superstar. My wife corrected me, and then asked me to say the right answer that she gave. Oh, maybe he is a Governor. a government official? Alas and alack.
The same thing happens with Thai soap operas. 'Is she the one who cheated on her husband'? I now only watch Korean soaps on Ch. 231 that have English subtitles like 'The Beauty and Mr. Romantic'.
I'm really sweet though.

I thought everyone knew who the Thai social media activist Guntouch “Gun” Jompalang is. You know, the one with the full moustache and slicked back hair?
Google him and surprise your missus.

Thanks for that. I will surprise her whenever she gets back from wherever she said she was going. It's been over 2 hours already.

He appears to have picked up on the fairly recent trend for dissatisfied citizens to get onto social media to highlight some bureaucratic or legal torpor.Laan Yaa Mo wrote: ↑September 16, 2024, 11:40 amThanks for that. Meanwhile, I'll check if she's out the back at our Yai's new casino.
