Chicken in a Basket - Thai Style

Post by parrot » January 19, 2015, 8:38 pm

I sometimes fantasize about driving down a street in my hometown of Texas.....with 20 passengers in the bed of my pickup, or with 3 or even 4 passengers on a 125cc motorcycle, or a pickup loaded 12 feet high with cabbage or papaya or bananas. Today's drive into town gave me something new to think about:

We were stopped at the Kilo 5 light near Lotus/Ngeesoon when this motorcycle pulled up in front of us. Although you can only see one chicken in the photo, the man had another tucked in on his front. I've seen this sort of chicken-pax service in the village.....but never seen a padded carrying sling like the one here.

So, add another guaranteed head-turner to the list of things I'd like to do, just one time, next time I'm in the US.

Writing about idiots is a subject you can certainly discuss with first hand knowledge and life-long experience, jumbo.

Don’t worry about tomorrow. Today is terrifying enough.
I never forget a face, but in your case I can do an exception.
