Udon CBR 150/250 CLUB

Post by jimbeamm36 » October 7, 2011, 6:43 am

Putting this out here to see if anybody would like to start a Honda CBR 150/250 club in Udon. Open to any ideas for these amazing sport bikes. I have owned 3 - 150's since 2003 and have clocked about 117,000 KMs sport touring in Thailand .

ugly , maybe
cat in it, we all need clean air to breath
heavy, maybe
sound not good, who cares
sounds better. louder does not mean better
goes faster, show me the money. how much faster?
lighter, maybe

Rick,
Mugen do a nice pipe for that bike... looks nicer, sounds nicer, adds a little performance boost as it's free flow.
No idea of cost, but as it's made by Mugen, you are assured of quality.

Stevo the Mugen CBR 250 is a lovely bit of kit ,went into large dealer on Posri Rd asking about price and getting one ,looked at me with the usual stupid look ! Took that as a no then. Amazes me HOW these people stay in business. If that had happened in my shop in UK you be out of the door with your p45 in your hand..
And the original exhaust ,dump it and get a exhaust that works as it should ,not some emission strangling box.

Sunday is the Australian MOTO GP. I would like to watch it at the Irish clock or near there. Does anybody know what time the race will air?

Jim,
As it's 'Pavarana day' today (end of Buddhist Lent)... out of respect, the Irish Clock is closed all day.
From what I heard, they are taking this opportunity to have the front of the pub repainted.

Does anyone know a good welding /fabrication shop in Udon that can make special saddle bag supports? I prefer to use stainless steel. I want them to look great and function well. I had no luck finding pre made units for my 2009 CBR150R
Thanks ;JB

Jim,
My TIG set is in Bangkok at the moment so I can't help personally... but there are plenty of good welders locally.
My advise would be to send a PM to 'pienmash' of Chern Chim fame, and ask for the contact details of the Thai guy who made the stainless railings outside his shop. He made an excellent job of them, nice neat welds, all polished.
