Out and about in Phu Pha Thoep National Park last week I came across this single make motorcycle club having a weekend away , about 50 bikes and 100 riders, both girls and boys. Mainly a young crowd. Now I must admit I had never heard of this brand before but I understand they are made in Thailand but the 200cc model is imported. This one sells for less than 40k whilst the Charley 125 is about 33k. These seem rather reasonably priced to me but I must admit I know absolutely nothing about Mb's so can't comment on quality but the retro styling was very attractive. I declined a test run for publicity purposes as I am terrified on anything that has less than a wheel on each corner .A few snaps.

The model shown in the 2nd and 5th photos certainly has a very "retro" look about it. :D

I own a Ryuka 125cc motorcycle based on an old Honda 125cc bike.
Made in China by Zongshen.
Mine has had bits falling off in the two years I had it, and as I speak the gearbox is on the way out.
Difficult to change to the 4th and 5th gears.
Getting a inner tube for the back tyre is a nightmare as it's a unique size no one has in stock, so it has to be ordered.
If it rains it won't start.
One expat I used to know called it a dinosaur.

Avoid.

I have discouraged members on this forum from buying a Ryuka. Like most things Chinese, it has a nice appearance for awhile, but isn't dependable.

Over a year on, now a update.
I replaced the gearbox, and sold the Ryuka on for 21,000 baht. I bought a Honda PCX 150 and have never looked back, Honda build quality, and hundreds of aftermarket spares and accessories.The main dealer selling Ryuka has gone.

Honda recently bought out a all new Honda Dream, Ray.

I bought my 125 Ryoka 4 years ago from Sakon nakhon and is a perfect bike for born again bikers wanting to test the waters . They are actually a bit of a tank and much more resilient than my later 250 Benelli . Yes you have to go back to the dealers as spares are not easy but for price and reliability is good as in 24000km only needed new starter switch, sprockets and chain (never oiled) and now brake pads . My wife uses it now with a sidecar for her little business. better than buying second hand bike at same prices
