I also believe that Steve will be a very hard act to follow.
Had a sensible understanding of what many ex-pats living in Udon required & went out of his way to ensure that the service was spot on.
On top of that just a thoroughly nice man, who was more than happy to help out anyone who asked.
Good luck with the medical stuff back in UK Steve & hope that you return to Udon soon...

Steve was the kindest owner i have ever known in Udon and his kindness was not for profit, just his nature. Alberto

Re: Irish Clock Change of Ownership
GOODLUCK..I HOPE THE FOOD STAYS THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Irish Clock Change of Ownership
The Irish Clock is so well thought of on forum, i made a point of going there a couple of weeks ago when in Udon on my last day in the town. I had liver and bacon meal there and it was ten out of ten, and the girls were friendly too! It was very relaxing in there, even though i was on my own as tgf back to home village very ill with flu. So it is sad after i finally get there, it changes ownership! I hope when i visit again the good standards of food and ambiance are maintained.
Just as a note on Thailand. Tgf had superb treatment for her fever in a Loei clinic, i was really impressed. I returned home to UK with same no doubt virus, and i swear the 'famous' NHS in UK, not up to the care she got in Nong Hin. AEK impressed me too, from a farang point of view. UK on health, seems more 'third world' than Thailand!

I spoke with Trevor Friday night and I think his heart is in the right place. He seems dedicated to upholding the high standards set by Steve and Mali.
Re: Irish Clock Change of Ownership
Good luck Trevor, please tell me you will continue to sell the black stuff.
Oh! just a note to PhilR, stop pestering the NHS with your man flu. they have enough to deal with.
