I like PappaGallo Pizza too. The pizzas and most of what I've tried, are quite good and at a reasonable price. The owner is very friendly and will make you feel at home. It's worth a visit.

I had a translation problem too. I tried to order pepperoni pizza, but was served pizza with red and yellow bell peppers on it instead:-( Apparently, pepperoni and bell pepper sound very similar in Italian;-) Nevertheless, it's my current favorite Italian restaurant in Udon.

I do hope they add real pepperoni pizza to their menu. Currently, Pizza Company is the only place I know to get a good pepperoni pizza.

Speaking of Italian restaurants, another one I like is called "Two Hearts" on Srisuk Road (Udon Thani Guide map E-9). I like their pasta dishes.

I asked the owner about his restaurant's location, in Udon, just north of the clock circle, on the road to Nong Khai. He said he choose it purposely.

His restaurant is on a main road, one of Udon's busiest. It's also at a stop light. When people are waiting for the light to change, they're likely to see his shop.

He said he gets a lot of customers coming down the road from Nong Khai. They see his shop on the way into town (shopping excursion) and then stop in for a meal before leaving Udon.

Thank you Jack. I've never tried Parma ham before so I may give it a try. I wonder if it's homemade, wikipedia says it's best made in cold climates.

Pizza Napoli is my fav and Elio does a top notch version .

As rct says the place MAY be improved with AC but not overly hot inside n plenty of fans and cold beer .

Another reason we go is we like to sit outside at the single table shop front , 1. can watch the world go by - 2. Bisto mi dog can sit with us ......... i wish there were more places where we could eat as a fmily and take the dog , he is part of our family and should be included in a meal outing not left at home .

We must have the strangest dog , loves pizza , fruit and veg ,,,,, he drinks at leat half a pint of fosters every day and last nite had a snakebite , never no hang over .... and he has a special relationship with every tree in Nong Sim Park

Back on topic ......Continued success with your business Elio .

mash , dao n family inc Bisto

The schnitzel looks great will try one in October, just needs a little garnish sprig of parsley or coriander will do remember you eat with your eyes.

After seeing the photos on here just had to give it a try. I haven't had a pizza since coming to Udon as I hate those Americanised things they sell in the various "huts", so the thought of the real thing got my taste buds going. Must say I wasn't dissapointed even if I did have to wake the proprietor up when we walked in . I started with a lasagne, superb, almost a meal on it's own, then helped my wife to demolish a huge, guess it was 12" size, Hawai, ham and pineapple. It was so delicious we ordered another to take home for the kid. Yes he loved it too.Can thoroughly recommend them .
Ageing is a privilige denied to many .
